I like it but it could be better. It arrived with areas of bare metal exposed on the base. These were a mix of medium and miniature chips. Potential for unnecessary rust. The "observation" holes are puzzling. Why do you need the upper small one? You're not supposed raise it above the lower hole. I wonder if the writer misunderstood the original purpose of the small upper hole. I think the upper hole may have been designed for a small thumb screw to lock the jack screw to the telescope tube. Without something to lock these two together the jack screw falls out as I carry the stand by its handle.

I got these for welding projects I do, and so far, they are great. I am currently building a large 26' tri axle car trailer and using these stands (6) to support the frame. They are very sturdy and can easily handle the weight which will be about 5,000 lbs. when finished. They adjust quickly and do not move once set. They also have the fine adjusters with the screw heads to fine tune the level. Plus, they fold up pretty nicely when not needed. Would purchase more if the need arises.
