Spacious
It's much bigger than the T-962 model, its heat output capacity also allows for a more uniform solder distribution for large PCB brd dimension

It's a great start to a really decent and affordable reflow oven...
Product arrived in great condition. I immediately did the modifications that are suggested/required (the mods are all over the internet).1) Remove the masking tape and replace with Kapton tape.2) Ensure the ground wire is properly grounded to chassis (need to remove chassis paint to ensure a good connection).3) Updated the firmware with the custom open source firmware by unified engineering.4) Haven't done this yet but will soon...add the cold junction temperature compensation modification.I was willing to pay a good sum of money for a decent reflow oven but the problem is that you either see these inexpensive (relatively speaking) Chinese models or American models at 10 times the cost (which is more than I want to pay). Additionally you see lots of custom hacks with toaster ovens. After much research I chose this path and I'm glad I did. I went with the T962A model vs the T962 as the T962 is only 800 W but the T962A is 1500 W and I wanted the extra power in case I really load up the reflow oven with a lot of boards. The 3 hacks above took me a Saturday to knock out. Also, this version of the T962A has the rear fan shroud which really makes it easy to hook up a vent tube to exhaust the fumes outside and will definitely be useful if you are running lots of boards through it.

This oven works and was as expected for the price. There's an exhaustive study on youtube on the modifications that need to be done. To be perfectly clear you HAVE to do these modifications or the oven will not function that well. The modifications in priority are: (1) remove paper tape and use kapton to replace it. (2) update the firmware. (3) add cold temperature sensor. (4) add air stirrer motor. I have not done #4 yet as that is a fair amount of rework but for the most part #1-3 are adequate. You get what you pay for here but the mods make it worth it IMO.

good
We have only used it a few times, but it works well. We checked the temperature against what is on the display and it is accurate within a degree or so. Easy to use. Compared to hobbling together a toaster oven to do the same job, this is a no brainer. Well worth the money.

No masking tape in manufacture anymore.
My unit was manufactured 08/2018.They already get rid of masking tape...Great.Test run no smell. Will run again with some boards.

Surprise, it works!
After a bit of fiddling, I got this oven to work without modifications. The user interface is crap, and the oven heats a bit unevenly, and when the fan turns on I've worried that the parts would move around, but it works for small boards with 0803 and 1206 parts. For the price, it gets the job done. I've only used the lower melting bismuth/silver solder. Had to modify the profile a bit to get good results, but that is expected.

Great reflow oven. Built up a new project came out great.
This oven will use 27.5 AMPS at 120V. Make sure you got a 50Amp breaker. Used a meter to measure power and current.
