This is a great \"elephant cover for an in ground pool. Material is thick and durable and straps are heavy duty. Water drains through the cover and all the leaves, twigs and most dirt stays on the cover. Hardware is good quality but be aware, if you don't have this type of cover already, you will need to drill 28-30 3/4\" holes in your concrete area around your pool and will also need a real hammer drill and not some hand drill that has a hammer setting. This cover so far is handling the new england winter with no problems. Very good investment.

No matter how tight I pull the straps, the center sags and the fabric of each square sags, too. I may still have bought it, since it is a great price, but next time I'll probably step up in quality a bit and spend more money.

The cover arrived on time and in excellent shape. Everything fit perfectly per the directions in the package. Job well done and keep up the good work

Great price. Lower quality fittings. Constantly having to tighten the straps. Hoping that it will last a couple of years . Probably would not purchase again.

We’re very happy with this pool cover. It wasn’t hard to put down at all and serves its purpose . It keeps the fall and winter debri out and our little dogs love walking across it too. Worth the money!

This pool cover was an excellent value! Much cheaper than buying it on a pool supply site. Quality seems very good and sturdy. It was easy to install. I will update after my first winter if it turns out it doesn't survive.

Obviously this cover isn’t going be the same quality as an elephant cover but you’re saving at least $1,000. That being said if you’re looking to save some money and still get a solid safety cover this is the one. Side note you will need a concrete drill and 3/4 bit along with an extra person install took about 1.5 hrs

This was exactly what I needed and it was over $1000 everywhere else. Fairly easy to install. Took about 4 hours with 2 of us. Would have taken less if we knew what we were doing, but with a YouTube video we figured it out. After dealing with a cover and water tubs last year that never stayed in place, I am thrilled to not have to mess with that over the winter. Very happy with this purchase!

I've been on the hunt for a new pool cover that fits our existing anchors. It is maddening how few vendors include these measurements in their listings! So I'm here to tell you: the strap spacing for a 20x40 pool is 5 feet 4 inches. Most of our existing anchors are 5 feet 3 inch, the rest are 5 feet 4 inch. I don't know why the discrepancy; we didn't install them. However, this cover works perfectly despite the small variation. There are 9 straps on the long sides, and 5 on the short ends. I think the neighbors thought I was laying eggs when I discovered this would fit perfectly, but no, I was celebrating how I got it right on the first try ordering something online blindly.

I dont know who needs to know this but the actual measurement is 18x42, and yes I bought the 16x40, so I would assume that the other sizes are sized accordingly. Some of the sizes have the size of the pool, then the size of cover you should buy for it. This one did not, so I was a bit worried that it wouldnt be big enough. Really needed the one with stairs extension but for the price and coverage i'm not going to worry about it! Wish it came with some kind of excess strap keeper, I may just use zip ties. Already have 11 leaves that didnt go in the pool! I really took my time and made sure my layout was square with the pool, and it payed off I think it looks great, the anchors seem to be of reasonable quality. FYI the drill bit size is 3/4 for your masonry bit if going into concrete like I did.
