Well made
This block & tackle seems well made and performs the task for which it was purchased. My only complaint has not to do with the product itself but with the marketing. One of the pictures shows a person repelling down a cliff. In addition, the description says: "... an excellent choice for you who need a climbing rope pulley for rock mountain rescue..." But when you open the package, you'll find an enclosed notice stating it's not to be used for such things.

Can't beat it for the money. I've worked outside utility construction for 22 years and destroyed all kinds of junk. These however are well built, and rated well over what I'll use them for. For the money I don't think you could do better.

Good quality. Strong . Not assembled. Not ready to use. The instructions are not too good. Setting up is kinda difficult. (Pain in the ass)

Handy solution to an off road loading challenge
I purchased this block and tackle as part of a solution for loading elk into the back of my Polaris Ranger UTV. Works like a charm! High quality rope and low friction sheaves made quick work out of an otherwise back-wrenching challenge. I have total faith in this Block and Tackle.

Excellent
I know gear and tackle and I can tell you this is the real deal. High quality material and design. I use 1/2” rope not because I need the strength but when you’re pulling on a rope by hand you can grip a 1/2” rope much easier than a 3/8”.

Rock solid gear, but get the twist out of the line before rigging
This is a really nice piece of kit. I bought it for moving boulders in my yard, and I'm really happy. The blocks are very strong and easy to adjust due to their \"snatch block\" style construction. The rope has a durable cover that doesn't snag on the ground or tree branches. My only criticism, and it is only a small one, is about how the rope is packaged. It is in a really tight bundle that falls apart as soon as you release the straps, leaving you with a twisted up mess. If that happens to you, get a helper and take the extra 5 minutes to remove *all* of the twist from the rope before you thread it through the pulleys. If you don't, the lines won't run smoothly through the pulleys and you'll lose a lot of pulling force. Finally, do yourself a favor and get a 3-5 locking carabiners (usually rated at 25kn or more) along with this purchase -- they make it really easy to rig up your anchor points, slings, etc.

This is a nice set. Rope length was a bit short.
This is a nice combo set that allows for very flexible applications for lifting or pulling. I used it to pull a 16' long x 5' wide treated lumber bridge through a section of swamp. The bridge must weigh close to 500 lbs. or more and this block and tackle made it possible. Pully action was smooth and there was little stretch in the rope.I ordered the 200' rope length since the working length is actually the total length divided by 4 due to the pulley routing. The rope I received came wound on a spool, stretch-wrapped, and in a heavy duty corrugated box. It arrived in perfect condition and the outer sheath of the rope did not have any snags or fuzzy spots as mentioned by other reviewers. However, unwinding put A LOT of twists in the line which I needed to chase out before I could use the rope. Since I had it laid out on my lawn, I decided to measure it using a 100' reel tape measure and found that it was 11 feet short of 200 feet. I was not happy about that but it was a Friday before a weekend project and I got what I got.Last tip: for the initial rigging, it's easiest to put the double pulleys just a few feet apart on the ground and work with a length of rope that is only 8 to 10 feet long. This will make it easier to thread the rope through the pulleys and prevent crossed lines. The pulley plates do turn to allow the rope to be slipped in or out but I found it easiest to just keep it small and flat on the ground to set it up. With one end anchored and the rope untangled, you can walk the other pully to the second attachment point.
