Not a bad sonic cleaner for the money.
I had a Hornady brand sonic cleaner for a few years and then one day it just wouldn't come on and work. I saw this sonic cleaner which was a little larger than my last cleaner and was cheaper too, so I decided to try it. I've only used this new one a half dozen times or so, so I can only comment on what I have noticed so far. 1. The heater isn't very powerful. It struggles to heat up the tank in any reasonable time.(hint: use the sonic cleaner function to speed up the time it takes to heat) With that said, I still have to run the sonic cleaner function for 20mins or so to get the solution up to a reasonable temperature. 2. Because of the drain, the sonic cleaning mechanisms only cover 2/3 of the bottom of the tank. The last 1/3 around the drain has no sonic cleaning function therefore if you have something long that runs the length of the tank, you will have to turn it around to sonic clean it all. 3. The temperature is in Celsius only, no way to change to Fahrenheit. I believe that's all I can comment on at this time. It's an acceptable machine that has worked fine for what I've needed. It does have it's drawbacks but I guess that's to be expected for a sonic cleaner at this price. Only time will tell how long it will last, but as of right now, I feel it's a decent sonic cleaner for it's price.

Does exactly what I needed it for
I use this to wash parts coming out of my DLP 3D printer. Keep the bath half full. When I need it I place 2 pickle jars in the bath, and one outside it. Ultrasonic waves can penetrate the thin plastic walls. The first pickle jar is tap water and simple green. Placed inside the ultrasonic cleaner. 2 minutes as a "gross wash" gets most of the material off. Next, outside from the ultrasonic cleaner I was with isopropyl alcohol... or if that is unavailable I use denatured alcohol. Do not use this in the ultrasonic cleaner it can cause a fire, so I move this around a bit by hand for 3 minutes. Next, I wash the alcohol off... especially if I am using denatured alcohol... in the third pickle jar, with filtered water also in the ultrasonic cleaner for 2 minutes. The 6 liter size allows me to fit both of these jars comfortably in the bath without making a mess. I am thinking of getting a larger printer and I think this will handle it, because the ultrasonic waves waves should travel up if the tops stick out of the bath.

Great units for personal and professional Use
I have 2 of these units and I use them in my jewelry manufacture and repair shop every day.I love that the heater stays on. The solution is always hot when I need to use the units. Without HOT solution the grease and wax build up on jewelry items will not break down to get them clean to polish the items correctly. When you polish a piece of jewelry, the compounds used are made from a wax and oily material with different finest of grit in them. when items a polished, these compounds remain on the items, and you have to a a good hot grease cutting solution in the cleaner. These units work very good for the job. With the heater on all the time, the solution does evaporate, but all you need to do is simple ADD WATER.Buy putting the lid on the unit helps the solution not evaporate as quickly. I use the units I have 8 to 10 hours a dayPersonally I have not allowed my units to go dry, but these units should have a safety turn off if the tank gets to hot. But I'm not sure if they do or not. Maybe the manufacturer can answer that question for us.The units I have work as well or even better than the more expensive units I use to use in my jewelry shop over the past 35 years. The real question I have is, "How long will these units work under the 8 to 10 hour 5 to 7 day work week of useage?"I know this, the expensive ultrasonics last me 7 to10+ years. I have been using the 2 units I have for the past 2 years and they are working like the first day I got them. The equivalent industrial unit for a 6 litter cost is approx $665 each. At the price they are selling these units at I can purchase 5 of these for the about the same money. In my opinion, these units are a no brainer to purchase.because of the value and savings. If these units only last 2 years you break even, anything over 2 years the way I use these, I'm saving money.Someone mentioned here something about these units could possibly catch your house on fire because WHAT IF you left the heater on and the unit and it over hea

Cleaning of jewelry made easy!
I used this sonic at or to remove the tarnish from silver. It works well when you employ a silver tarnish remover. I like that the sonic at or bath water is easily adjusted and has a temperature control for heating.

Great if you get a good one!
The other reviews are either very favorable or very negative. My own experience is that the first unit I got died in the first day, but the replacement that was sent has been working well for nearly a year of heavy use. I had absolutely no problem getting a replacement sent and customer service through Amazon was excellent. There are days where it runs for most of the day non-stop (I often use a 90 minute cycle setting). At this point, the only problem has been that the heater stopped working recently, but it was my fault as I accidentally turned the heater on for about 3 minutes before I poured the cleaner in, which I'm sure burned out the element. Even without the heating element, it still seems to heat up to around 35-38 degrees C from what I'm guessing is heat generated by the ultrasonic transducers, so it still get pretty warm after an hour or so of operation, enough so that there is steam rising from the tank.As for cleaning, I suspect that an industrial ultrasonic would be a bit more effective, but it's still very good. Grease and dirt, etc. come off very well and it gets into all the nooks and crannies that are hard to clean any other way. For larger parts, I find that I can clean them in quarters. A transmission case, for example, can be cleaned one way, flipped over and cleaned and then flipped 2 more directions to get every surface covered. Even the most filthy parts will eventually be clean, but it helps to use a brush between cleanings to loosen up large deposits of grime. As the title says, if you get a good one, these are really great tools for the home shop mechanic. From the sounds of it, they tend to either break right away or work for a long time, both scenarios echo my own experience. I would buy one again and probably will at some point, but I'd also be vigilant about returning a bad one until I get a good working unit. I'll admit my confidence that I'd get a good one on the first try is low based on my own experience and reading the reviews of o

Worth it
After 10 to 15 uses, I can honestly say that it works exactly as it is intended. I have used cleaning solutions consisting of distilled water, distilled water and vinegar, and as you can see in the photograph posted, I have four linear bearings and one circular bearing in a WD-40 solution. I can confirm that you can use the heating function without using the ultrasonic cleaning. Please note however, once the actual temperature gets to the set temperature the heating function will turn off automatically. So if you decide to walk away from it the temperature will cool unless you once again turn on the heating function. I also observed the actual temperature display consistently reads several degrees below it's real temperature. With regard to the temperature, the bottom line is that it will ultimately get slightly above 80 degrees if that is what you want. At this price, and for cleaning bearings, or whatever else you may want to clean, that is inconsequential. I have found it easier to heat a cleaning solution a little before pouring it into the ultrasonic cleaner. It is not necessary but it will shorten the time that it takes for the unit to heat the solution to your desired temperature. If needed, I would purchase it again.
