3L model . Found the reason some people complain about smoke, well part of the reason. I thought the bottom panel looked like it had clear plastic on it like the lid has blue plastic. I tried to peel it off, but I couldn't because there wasn't any plastic on it. I thought maybe, I just wasn't able to peel the plastic. Being the OCD Mr fix-it man that I am, I decided to void warranty and remover the bottom panel, and heat it with a heat gun, to maybe help remove the plastic. As I said earlier, there ended up not being any plastic, BUT the heat gun revealed some spots on the metal. As you see the spots in the pic, those spots didn't show up until they were heated by my heat gun. My best guess is it is some sort of oil residue from the machinery cutting the holes in the panel, like cutting oil machinist use. It could possibly be something else from the parts above, that maybe dripped something on the bottom during manufacturing. It is not from use, because I took it apart before I ever used it to see why people said it was smoking. Now the good news, it didn't smoke at all. I'm not sure if it was because I already burned the mystery stains off or some other reason. I did notice that the instructions warned more than once to unplug when done, and to also make sure the outlet used to plug it into, has ground. For those not sure how to do that, you can buy an outlet checker here on Amazon. An outlet checker simply plugs in like everything that plugs into an outlet, and let's you know if hot, neutral, and ground are wired correctly. It's a good idea to check all your outlets with such a device. I suspect some of the bad reviews may be the result of using bad outlets. For those wondering about minimum water level, the manual says simply, be sure there is enough water to completely cover whatever you're cleaning, and no more water than the maximum line in pan. Thot it would be bigger. But it did what I wanted it to do barely. Good product said 15L should be 3.96 us gallon. Not quite 3 gallon to fill full. But then you have to fill to line to have room for you part to fit so you have no over flow. Barely got my parts in it. Did an amazing job cleaning. Pretty happy with it.

I was expecting something identical to the one in the description but what arrived looked a little different. The black plastic handles on the sides weren't there and the control panel didn't have the manufacturer logo. It basically looked like a knock off. This prompted me to read through more of the reviews where I noticed some buyers were complaining of faulty units. I contacted the seller right away and requested a refund. The seller insisted that it was the same unit and encouraged me to try the unit. After a few emails back and forth I agreed to give the unit a try. He said if I want satisfied before the return period was over he would quickly refund my purchase. So three month later I feel it's only right to submit this review.This unit works great. I did the strips of foil test and in less than 10 seconds the strips were full of holes. I've never owned an ultrasonic cleaner before so the only comparison I have is with a HF unit a buddy of mine has. We both agree this one work much better. The water heater is a bit slow but it does a good job at keeping the temperature at whatever you set it to. I normally set it to 60°c(140°f) verified with a thermometer. It cleans rust from tools effortlessly. So overall I'm glad I took time to try it out. Luckily the seller stood by his product and encouraged me to give it a try. The only thing I would do different is get the bigger unit so I could fit bigger items.

This was bought as a cleaning station for our 3D printer. My husband is very particular about the prototypes we give our clients. He was very, very pleased with the way the unit cleans the pieces and makes the prototype looks when cleaned.

Make sure you disassemble the valve drain and put sealant on the threads or it will leak. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but it sucked having to drain out my brand new chemicals to seal the threads. It did come with sealant on the threads, just not enough to actually seal it. I've been using it for months now and no other problems. Great cleaner for this price point.

I bought this to replace a smaller unit that I have used the last couple of years on a daily basis. It did burn out from over use but I was happy with it so decided to replace it with a bigger unit. Really glad I did. Not only is it bigger but seems to clean much better. The reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the description and product aren't exactly the same. The product picture shows a black face label and the actual product is blue not black. It also listed an accessory kit that was to include a small jewelry basket which I did not receive. Not a big deal though and would not have kept me from purchasing however it was in description so I took a star off.
