This ice cream maker is awesome! It's very easy to use. Just pour in the ingredients, push a button and in less than an hour you have homemade ice cream. On the first day of owning it I made honey mango and a strawberry-raspberry ice cream. I highly recommend it.

Had the Ice Cream maker for about a month and have made about 6 batches of Ice Cream, just used a basic Ice Cream recipe that did not use eggs and to me a taste just as good if not better than most store-bought Ice Cream. I have been playing with different flavors and fruits to make my Ice Cream and they have all been good.

Makes good ice cream
The quality of this machine seems pretty good. I can feel some part of the internal mechanism move around inside when I carry it from one place to another. Speaking of carrying it, it's fairly heavy for its size. I consider that a good sign that the motor and compressor unit inside are robust. I made some rocky road ice cream with it using a custard base. I added the warm custard base directly from the stove and about twenty minutes later it indicated that it was done. That's very impressive performance in my opinion. The mixing bar is a bit of a pain to get all of the ice cream out of due to the complex shape. I don't know if it's any more difficult than any other compressor ice cream machine, as this is my first one. The only real negatives I can complain about are the instruction manual and the packing material. The instructions are pretty bad and unclear to say the least. Vevor used expanded polystyrene to pack the machine in the box it came in. I can't recycle that material where I live and it's bulky in my garbage. I would really like to see Vevor switch to paper pulp packing material. Sure, it's probably a bit more expensive than polystyrene, but it's fully recyclable or compostable. I'd be happy to pay $5 to $10 more for molded paper pulp packing material instead of expanded polystyrene. Overall I'm happy with this ice cream maker. It's easy to use, works quickly and the price makes it a good value. I chose this version over the horizontally oriented one as it takes up less counter space. I'd definitely recommend this to someone wanting to make their own ice cream at home. The ice cream I made with this machine was easily as good as ultra premium ice cream from the supermarket, and less expensive.

Forget the Kitchenaid freezer bowl
I make ice cream and when Covid hit, I got out the old ice cream freezer bowl out for kitchenaid and made plenty of batchs since. But it took up too much room in my freezer. I found this small ice cream freezer unit with a built in compressor, Got the right price and presto! Making batches of ice cream, without the waiting of freezing the bowl. I only hope it holds up. The 2 qt. bowl sets into the opening and twist into place. However, since the bowl has such tight tolerance, it takes a while to remove because it appears to freeze itself into position. That is the only nthing I don't like but otherwise, its a great little two qt. ice cream maker. Would recommend.

If it says COOL
Leave it alone. When you are doing a batch and the unit stops and shows COOL on the screen don’t touch it. It’s not done yet. I ran across this while making my first batch

Works great! Could use some better directions. Made chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and three different types of sorbet and it worked Great for all once I figured how to get the machine to start.

Mr.
I've used this machines several times now, and I am able to make a good appraisal of its features and quality. It is solidly constructed, and has stainless steel outside parts so it's easy to clean, and the removable canister is also stainless steel and it is easy to clean. Using it is very simple; recipes appear widely on the internet. The hardest part is getting together and preparing the things you need to make. Ice cream or sorbet. I have two gripes about the control panel. One is that you can't change the function once the function is selected and the dasher is turning. So for example if I pause the motor and I want to use the cool only function or the mix only function you have to turn the power off, turn it back on and select the function we want after pushing the menu button. Second gripe that I have is that only one speed is available. So making an authentic gelato, which requires slower churning than ice cream so that less air is churned into the gelato,is not possible.

The best automatic ice cream maker
VEVOR Upright Automatic Ice Cream Maker with Built-in Compressor, 2 Quart is the best, very easy to use and low noise. I prepare 2 quart ice cream in 1 hour.
