My husband is Italian and makes the most awesome spaghetti sauce. We make about 50 quarts at a time with involves chopping 10 lbs onions and 10 lbs mushrooms. That alone usually takes us most of one day. We bought this for the specific purpose of helping cut down the time involved. Boy did it ever. It cut the chopping time from 10 hours down to less than 3 hours.
Additionally, I am quite impressed with how easily it breaks down for cleaning. The ONLY issue I might possibly have is that it can be difficult to get vegetable skins (that really thin stuff) off when spraying the blade assembly with water.
