A fun toy
I purchased this because with the discount is was a great price. This is a fun toy. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, because of some of the limitations I will discuss. The unit itself is well made and comes with a case and a 9V lithium rechargeable battery. That's pretty good for the price. It does exactly what the Webpage says it will do. I'm an electrical engineer, so I understand the different modes of the product and what they mean. However, I don't understand the readings and what the levels mean. I tried going on the Web and learning but it didn't help. It would be nice if the company gave information on how the reading should be interpreted. One thing you will find, is that the Hi Level alarm goes off all the time with the level bar showing no reading. Happily you can turn off the alarm. I have no idea why the alarm is set so low, and it just becomes an annoyance. Yes, I can walk around and see the readings on EM, Mag and RF, but I don't know what they mean. You can use this meter in EM mode to see if there is AC power on sockets, or if a device has power going to it. You can use the Mag mode to see what Magnetic fields are around motors, or detect the magnets in your refrigerator door. The RF mote will tell you when you Cell Phone is transmitting or you Wi-Fi router is working. It goes into Overload reading when you get near your Wi-Fi router so you can't get a level reading. It would have been nice to get a reading so you could compare routers. You might even be able to tell if someone placed a Wi-FI bug in you home. Here is fun thing use I found. If you put the unit in EMF mode it will detect lighting strikes anywhere around for some distance. So in summation. This is an interesting device to see what's happening in the area around you. It would be much better if the company had give even a short explanation on how to read the meter and what the readings indicate. The Alarm function is meaningless. For the price, its a fun

Incredibly Useful for Evaluating My Electronic Appliances
I had an original Analog EMF meter that I used to use when shopping for TVs and computer monitors. I also used it to measure EMF radiating from my Microwave oven and Induction cook tops. It helped me gauge the general safe distances for these different appliances. The analog meter simply had a simple needle that ranged over an embedded chart not unlike a battery tester. If the needle approached the red range, it meant I was standing too close to the appliance and should either step back or leave the vicinity while it was on. This new meter is vastly superior and provides 3 major levels of advice: \"Avoid\". \"Alert\" and \"Safe.\" This makes it much more useful in determining the potential hazard associated with a given appliance and whether you should increase your distance from the appliance while it is operating or even leave the area altogether. It has also helped me decide to purchase a new microwave oven due to the leakage from my old one. I highly recommend that others consider buying this meter (or one like it) to better safeguard their health and that of their loved ones.

Works as advertised
Nice little device with a lot of readings. Easy to understand as well, it has a basic red, yellow, green scale and what those levels mean, such as avoid, etc. I used this to position my bed. Little did I know that I was being bathed in all kinds of elector-magnetic frequencies all night. Interesting as well, how much my laptop gives off, so best to have a separate wired keyboard, allowing a person to sit further away. In the end, there are plenty of uses for this and it works well. My only thought is that the reaction is slightly slow. Nothing crazy, just move it to the desired location and wait 2 or 3 seconds until it settles on a reading. I'd buy this again for a reasonable price.

Works great!
Tried this out on a few things. It is quality and affordable for someone interested in EMF and RF. Very advanced for an amateur.

Love it!
I've been suffering from mind fog lately, mental fatigue, difficult to focus. Recently I went on a month long vacation to SE Asia, some of it was on a cruise. And, I noticed my mind fog was gone, and I felt so much better, even though I was drinking more (being on vacation). When I got home the fog came back. So, I bought this scanner/detector to see if there was a lot of 5G (or other) radiation in my house. Thinking that might be the cause. I can't say I discovered anything for certain, because I don't know what the data/measurements mean. But, there were a few places in my house where the meter pegged (see photos). They aren't places where I spend a lot of time, the top of the stair landing, in front of the bathroom sink, in a hall way. I'm kind of worried. Does anyone know what these numbers mean? Btw, I unplugged a nearby wifi router when I took the attached photos.

Always out of the way and ready to go.
This device is excellent and very good for home use. Good quality. I found out that the more electrical wiring is in your room or office the more electromagnetic radiation there is. So I have unplugged most of my electronic equipment unless I am using it and just use regular lights. I also have an electical panel two meters from my desk which explains why I was getting dizzy - so lots of changes in my home office! Get it and it will put your mind to rest. It's worth the money.

Works great.
his meter is an eye opener and frankly I believe a lifesaver as well. I just purchased my fourth one as I am loaning them out to friends and giving them as gifts.

Very happy with my purchas
I got the meter to identify RF. I'm around a hazardous area. The meter goes up to 11 mW per m2 on the RF setting when I'm in the worst spot. I'd guess this is a hazardous reading but I can't find anything about acceptable value for humans to be exposed to. A little frustrating the paperwork doesn't explain the meaning of any of the values. Everything I find on the internet measures RF in different units

Worth all the money !
Every home should have one. Using it, I discovered that my computer and light set-up was frying me, which explains why I was so tired after using the computer. Not anymore!

Works great.
This meter works and has already paid for itself. I have just returned 2 totally ineffective laptop “shields” and saved me a couple hundred dollars (from Defender and SYB). Also, it has helped me arrange our beds so that we are sleeping out of harms way.
