The machine is a beast but the foot pedal absolutely sucks! Your going to have to purchase an aftermarket pedal if you need variable speeds.

Great machine . The reversing feature is what really caught my attention. Plenty of power.. the chuck makes changing cutters easy

I have used this rotary tool for about 8 hours. So far I have been impressed. It has plenty of power and speed. The motor case is metal and heavy duty. The motor has a lot of air flow so I don’t believe over heating will be an issue. I don’t have an impression of how long the brushes will last but was impressed it came with an extra pair. I wasn’t sure about the style of Chuck it uses but so far it has worked just as well as a collet system while also allowing the use of different size shanks. I like the robust construction of the outer portion of the shaft. It has the key style inner shaft which isn’t near as strong as the square style but they are easily replaced if needed. In my last Dremel, the bearing wore quickly causing the part of the unit to actually melt together. I’m confident that will not be a problem with this Vevor unit. I read some reviews that were unhappy that the foot pedal was made of plastic. I have no issue with the foot pedal other than wishing the power cord was a bit longer. I considered purchasing the name brand (Fordom) but it is 10x the cost. I considered getting another Dremel but I know it will only last about half a year while not having near the power of the Vevor. Plus a dremel is twice the cost. As long as it lasts at least half the time as Dremel, it was a good purchase. At a little over $50, it’s safe to say it’s a good value.

Well built for the price easy to use. Use it for wood carving and etching. I would recommend this for hobby use.

This is a simple design that will get the job done ! Flexible cable drive with a peddle to control the speed is a great feature to keep you moving without stopping to do adjustments.

I have a four different shaft sizes and the adjustable chuck makes it so much quicker. I work with water and se some rust but so far so good.

I was happy with the speed of delivery, and I have just tested the product, which seems to work fine. I do have 2 complaints, first, they should have a separate on off switch on the shaft so that we are not forced to use the foot peddle. Second complaint, I'm in the USA, all people here use the screw on clockwise and unscrew counterclockwise thread design. This unit uses the counter screw on thread design. I'm used to that, but it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to screw on the flex shaft to the motor because it doesn't state that in the instructions. I figured it out, but I'm sure that many people would have difficulty figuring this out and would think the threads are stripped. they really need better instructions.

I cant tell much difference between this and the 740 watt (or close to that) version honestly. I use it for woodworking with the big rasp cups or sharpening things. If i had to choose one, i would buy this one again. Dont forget to grease the shaft first, no issues with that either.

Much more powerful then a Dremel. The foot control is very convenient. And the drill style chuck eliminates the poor chucks I've used on all handheld motor tools.

I am VERY happy with this purchase! It is quieter than my old unit and functions smoothly. The foot pedal allows for the level of speed control I need for my jewelry work.
