Good machine
I bought this because I needed a fair amount of distilled water and really did not want to pay over $3/gallon and lug all those jugs home from the store and to the recycle center. The distiller works very well. If all you are planning to do is distill water, simply attach the handle to the pitcher (this is a little tricky--you will need a non-included Philips screwdriver), The distiller seems to be pre-set for the time and temperature you would need for water. Some people use it of other distilling. For this, you would need to know more. The first time you use the machine, there is a cleaning procedure which involves putting a little citric acid powder and a little water in the main unit, setting the fan/heating part on top, plugging it in to the main unit, plugging the main unit into the wall plug, and hitting the "start" button. This cleaning is done at intervals (a month?) therafter. All this is in the instructions, but you have to hunt for it! The instructions could be better written and organized. After the set amount of time (1/2 hour, if memory serves me), turn it off, let it cool down, empty the water out of the pitcher and the main unit, rinse the pitcher and wipe the main unit (you don't want citric acid if what you wanted was pure water), fill the main unit with a gallon of water, put the fan/heater on top, plug everything in, align the pitcher to catch the water, and in 3.5 hours you will have a gallon of distilled water. There are a few charcoal packets included if you wish to use one as part of the process (it wedges into the spout that empties into the pitcher). The fan makes significant fan noise, and the heater part does raise the ambient temperature in a small room several degrees. The unit is well insulated though. The walls and counters it is near or sitting on do not heat up. Keep anything flammable away, particularly from the top, of course. Be careful in handling the fan/heater unit. It is probably best to wait until it cools off. This little machine really does work very well. I splurged and bought the red distiller, and it is very beautiful. I can see how much stuff is removed from the tap water by seeing the minerals remaining at the end of the cycle! Our water here is fairly soft, and even so, there is a lot that gets removed! I am very pleased with this purchase.

Wonderful gadget
I really love this Vevor distiller. It is great for drinking water and for distilling your own beverages. The digital menu on it makes it easy to create your own beer and wine.

Works great
This distiller works great. My partner and I both use cpap machines and I use distilled water for cleaning vinyl records, so we go through at least a gallon a week. That adds up quickly, especially as the cost of distilled water increased to about $3 a gallon.

Unsolicited Rave
Love this timer equipped water distiller. They do burn out eventually. I get at least 300 cycles now before that happens. Water then cost pretty much what it does at the store, but it's not fake. I know it is clean. Someone came up with the timer idea that prolongs useful life. The last one had a circuit board fail, needing surge protection? The one before that, a cord spade failed. The unit crusts up. Where does the toxic Floride contaminant go? Nothing left in the water to hold on to it. Next, I use a zero filter unrefrigerated to add flavor.

Vevor 1.1 gal Distiller
My second upgraded unit from Vevor. Love it, but it leaks out the top silicone seal ring. Double flanged 54cm circumference. Flimsy profile. Not robust enough. Dribbling loss of 10-20% into the boot tray I provided. Mushing around the top was no help. Rummaging I found two heftty 16mm wide rubber bands, large enough to stretch ONE under the flimsy OEM ring. Stopped it.Not a drop. It expanded the seal ring diameter for a tight fit against the mild steam pressure. See pix. Will use second one for the first Vevor distiller. My problem solved. I'm good. But your leaky seals will stunt your sales of an excellent distiller (heating element clad welded to the tank). My first one (Amazon) same mfg is 20 yrs and still works perfectly. Passing down to those I interest in the health benefits they eventually buy and promote to others. The older models had robust seal rings. My old unit will pass around and generate upgrade buys. At 21¢/kWh that's bout 75¢/gal. Still half or less than store bought. Boiled sterile pure, no residues. Fix the issue so I can recommend VEVOR to my future string of distiller converts. A spare (upgraded) ring or two for me would confirm the resolution and reaffirm my confidence in the product. Thank you Alex R.

Need new instruction booklet.
So far a great product ,But the instruction booklet is written by a non English speaker and is hard to understand. Also the handle on the glass bottle is hard to put together for anyone with only two hands . I notice many Chinese sellers who's ads and instructions make very little sense to English speakers. I suppose Chinese people have the same problem with American goods.

Works Great!
We've had other water distillers, but this one is the nicest and was priced better than the others we've had.

I’ve been loving this water distiller…0 on the TDS meter. Easy to clean w/ the Included citric acid and I love and need the automatic shut off function. I am enjoying my clean clean water

So far, so good--great product. It was a challenge figuring out how to assemble the pitcher handle and how to effectively use its spout--but now that I've figured it out--works really well. I'm happy and so glad I made this purchase.
