I bought this for generating clean water for myself. It was easy enough for me to asemble with a small Phillips screw driver.Easy to assemble and start. The amount of output is incredible.The directions are full of typos and sentences that don't use the right words culturally.The citric acid that comes with the unit was crystals in a small plastic jar. I opened the jar and it was a rock of crystals that could not be spooned but rather had to be chopped out.I had to dissolve the crystals and move the liquid to a canning jar so I could use it easily. Not a biggie but it was pretty cheesy flimsy jar.Lastly I had NO idea what the packets were (I knew they were dessicant or charcoal but not what to do with them). Apparently they go in the effluent spout to filter the product on exit. I'll try that.I like the glass carafe and the general set up and will get much use out of this device.
Our distiller is used to make water the good ice machine. It takes about four hours to make a gallon but we don’t have to leave home, don’t have excess plastic jugs, and no cost. It’s been amazing
The timer works perfectly, the water is coming out clean tasting. Just run through four cycles dumping out all four to clean out the tubings, setting the timer at 3 hours so it doesnt dry boil and leave hard to clean residue.
This was one of the best investment i have made this year! Win, win.
