I have only had this unit a couple of months and the greatest selling point was that it has a swing out top heat platen. I have found it very easy to figure out and use. No real learning curve issues.I appreciate the fact it came with multiple attachments so that when I grow into doing more complex items on it, I don't have to worry about finding attachments for it later on down the road.I have run into one small drawback that will be easy to overcome. When you swing out the top platen, the unit can become top heavy. I will affix this to a permanent work space when my work room is finished. The other small design issue I had was the bottom plate does slide out, but truthfully it should have a stop tag on it. I will be able to overcome that small issue too with a metal quick fix of some kind.I am rather short stature, and so maybe my orientation to the unit in its current location is more of the issue than anything. Over all, I have recommended this unit to others on social media, and for the price and flexibility of the unit, it was a good purchase for my needs.
