I was told following Physical Therapy that I needed to incorporate exercise on a recumbent bike as it was not as damaging on the joints. I researched my options. I knew that I wanted one that I could ride outdoors as the scenery all stays the same with one that you use indoors. All I can say is........What fun! If you are looking for speed, this is not the bike for you. But if your goal is to get exercise, while having your back supported, this is for you.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and can no longer ride a regular bike due to muscle strength in legs and balance/coordination problems. I absolutely LOVE this trike!!!

I'm really enjoying tooling around my neighborhood on my recumbent trike.

I bought the bike for my wife (per her request) and she LOVES IT. We live in a neighborhood where its mostly flat so its easy for her to pedal and steer. She now rides everyday with her 110lb GS and he now enjoys the runs in the am with her.

Shipping was fast and the product arrived in good condition and well packed. It takes two people to assemble and make sure you have time and space to work, plus the tools they recommend. The instructions are okay but not great. It was challenging to get the backend assembled correctly. I engaged Schwinn support about some adjustment info and they were responsive but not very technically helpful. They advised me to see a local bike shop but the trike is quite large when assembled and I don't have a pickup truck to transport it to a shop. Luckily I managed to fix things myself.

Everything was in the box undamaged. The bike was easy to assemble and rolls very easily. I highly recommend the 7 speed verses the single speed, really a 10 speed option would be great. Using first of the seven speeds the bike is easy to pedal, it is great for walking your dog as you can just stop and sit while your dog sniffs every blade of grass in the neighborhood.

Make sure you read instructions twice and have grease. Still having problems with front brake, but rear brakes work well enough to use bicycle otherwise would be a 5 star.

There are a couple of things to know before purchasing this, or any, adult tricycle. I wish I had been better prepared!

Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. It's really a fun bike to ride, the 7-speeds are enough to deal with inclines and yet get up to a decent speed on level ground. It's pretty sturdy and fairly comfortable "as is" with stock seat, pedals and grips.

EDIT: I wrote this review about 16 months ago, and I still ride this Trike. It is still very, very strong and has proven its high quality. I ride 3 times weekly, and have lost about 40 pounds during the time I’ve been riding. It has no mechanical problems whatsoever, and is a blast to ride. I repeat what I said 16 months ago — BUY THIS TRIKE!!
