Always go up in size, ran the 100G on a 30g and on a 55/40 too I love this filter and all the features, UVC works great and flow is amazing if you KEEP it clean

This canister filter has exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I've been buying major brands over the years like Oase and Fluval but this filter is so, so good. The water flow remains at peak output even when the filter is filled with waste which makes keeping a clean tank much easier with my busy schedule. The priming pump is perfect, the uv filtration a nice addition too! When I need another canister filter, in getting another of thes. There's no question about it.

Was easy to assemble. It has decent flow. It is very quiet. Overall I am happy with this product.

This works well, is quality and is but another if I needed one. I use it to occasionally supplement another but would work great stand alone.

purchased this due to price was great , till it broke and the motor overheated.. sad i cant return now.. so i'm stuck with a broken unit with overheated motor .. i even tried to contact Vevor, no help so far ..

I bought this because it was 40% off and cheaper than other alternatives I was looking at. I saw the reviews stating low flow but for me I only have a 40gal and the rating is for 120gal. Figured why not. If it has a canister sized for 120gal that just means more room for filter substrate. As long as it provides 1/3 of its rating, I’m good with my tank size. I set it up outside with an old 10gal tank. I measured GPH by filling a 10L bucket and timing how long it took. Tank was on top of a table. Canister on floor. With no media 198gph. With provided media, 190 gph. Certainly much less than the advertised 390 gph. Note, I’ve heard most companies rate their canister filters without hoses. So I’m not not sure how it compares with other brands. In conclusion. I’ve been running it for about 18 hours and I see no leaks and I’m getting sufficient flow for 160gph needs of my 40gal tank. I’m happy for $55. Will update this review later if anything changes. Note: I saw other reviews stating they received a dirty and scratched unit. I noticed that as well on mine. After some more investigation I’ve concluded that the scratches in mine are on the removable, protective plastic layer. And the dirt is almost like sand and seems similar to what the filtration media is made of. So I’m pretty sure it is not used.

For the price I absolutely love it. Cleaned my fully planted dirt sand capped tank very well. Runs quiet when set up right. I have lower water level and love the waterfall sound, but thats mine for mystery snails. Higher water level don't even know it's running. I used tubbing clips because it doesn't sit the way I like on tank, but again that's a me thing. Instructions tho are horrible. Especially for someone who's never had a canister filter before. Patience with photos and the obvious looking it was pretty simple setup. No videos online yet. There's some small design flaws with the waterfall tubbing. Bends too much with 3 and no obvious ways to fix that, but I have 2 on with no issues. 1 would work fine too, but I like the sound. Overall I'm extremely satisfied. No pre sponge for filter intake so if you don't have several sitting around will want to grab some if you have plants or fry. Haven't cleaned yet, but I can't see any issues you have trays so seems simple lift, rinse, repeat thru all the trays. Photo was when new, so have it protected for any leaks, but almost 3 weeks later no leaks. Great price for great quality.

Great quality and features for the price. Set up is easy and runs quietly. To date there are no leaks or other issues. Very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this brand. I definitely will be making future purchases for additional setups.
