Works like it should. Took some time to get the chickens to use it properly. I am happy with it and hope the rats dont learn how to use it. Doesn't hold as much food as the description said it did, but it does hold a decent amount for five chickens. If I had more chickens I definitely would of needed another one to not to have to fill it more often.

I live by a river and it seems to be an area crawling with rats. This has been the best way to feed my chickens without feeding the vermin as well. It did not take long at all for the chickens to figure out how to get their food. The first few days I put a couple of bricks on the step to keep the feeder open so they knew where the food was. When I removed the bricks, the girls had no problem stepping on the lever to get food. Goodbye, rats!

I love that the top has a magnetic closure. I don’t feel like it pushes the feed down nearly as well as the big name brand one. Not sure if it due to the design of the slope. But it is a good product

My chickens love this feeder, it did not take long for them to figure out how to use it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a feeder that can keep rodents out.

Chickens like it!!! Fun for them to step on and self serve dispenser! Keeps feed dry in rain and windy conditions, well designed features with gravity lid closure. If I had additional chickens would seriously consider getting another.

This is well made and heavy duty. However, despite lots of long term training, the chickens could not learn and would go hungry!! UPDATE: It took months for the chickens to learn but we did not give up. Eventually they could use the feeder and its effective!

I love your ability to fill it up and not worry about it for several days! It is taking my chickens close to a week to figure it out, but from day one, they knew that’s where the food was! Great product!

Works good really good product. Took chickens no time to use it. Was bent by the shipper. Was given discount.

This is a good alternative to a popular brand that costs about $100. More. Ours did need a little tweaking for the weight of our chickens but they are doing just fine with it. We did put this in the main coop with our 7week old chicks just so they didnt freak out. We also weighted the treadle down with some magnets so they could see the food. Training took about 2 weeks but well worth it.

This thing is pretty slick and very well made. The only problem was my juvenile birds were scared of it. Had to give it to the older wiser ladies.
