This is a great baseball match. It is big and can be used in your backyard. The plate is part of the turf.

We use this mainly to practice pitching and occasionally use it for batting practice in the back yard. It's easy to roll up and store vertically in the garage, especially if you have some bungee cords available. When people see it, they always think it's the "deluxe" model and we paid an extravagant amount for it. We do keep this inside the garage unless in use, and then roll it back up and put it away afterwards. I can't vouch for how sturdy it would be under the natural elements being left outdoors but I have a feeling this will last us a few years as long as we put it away after use each time.I think the average grown man could easily throw this batting mat over his shoulder and carry it if it were kept rolled tight.

When I was shopping for one of these mats, it looked like there were a lot of lower quality options available, and many of them were non-standard sizes. I really wanted one of these to complete our outdoor batting cage, but bristled at the $400+ price tags from several baseball equipment websites. I had this in my cart for a few days before deciding to give it a try. I am so happy I bought this! The pile is good quality and feels like it will last for years.

This is an excellent value for your personal indoor or outdoor cage. Perfect weight that doesn't require two people to roll it up and carry (like professional mats do), but thick enough and of good quality to withstand a few years of abuse. I highly recommend, especially if you catch a coupon or sale on it.

I will tell you that this is the highest quality baseball Matt that I have ever seen. Even better than the one in my son's indoor baseball training facility. I am completely shocked at how green it is. How easy to clean it is. I can jjst leave it outside and vaccum it and its as good as new. And it is heavy. Here in Florida we've been having a lot of wind and that has stayed in place without moving. Honestly I see this as an investment for my son's baseball training. So I highly recommend it.

i got this mat for a gift to my nephews. They LOVE it! and were so excited when they got it! they live in the south so the grass isnt always great so this was a great addition to their set up!

Training in baseball is difficult. You are making so many minute calculations and adjustments to hit a small ball traveling at 90 MPH at just the right time and angle, that if you practice wrong at home you'll be setting yourself up for failure on the field. Getting this batting mat is great for someone with a pitching machine, because it helps make sure you as the batter are in the right position every time, practicing hitting a ball which will be at the right place every single time. It makes a huge impact to being able to gauge balls vs strikes, because you have so much experience now, seeing exactly what a strike should look like. I would recommend for anyone with a batting cage, serious about making improvements to their batting game.
