As expected for the price.

The beehive is excellent quality and well made, in fact the wood is better quality than some boxes I purchased from Mann Lake. All pieces fit well together. The shipping was fast and the price is great. It comes with a solid bottom board and I wish it would have a screened bottom board instead, but it is easy to replace or convert. The handles on the boxes are smaller than other manufacturers boxes, which makes them more difficult to grab when they are full and heavy. The complete box kit is a good deal since it comes with the covers, frames and foundations. There were no nails in the kit, but I use a nail gun anyway.

like others have said ,the wood is just okay ,everything should be glued,i use tightbond II ,joints were ok,i also screw 2 inch zinc drywall deck screws,and clamps, some edges may need slight planing to eliminate gaps,but price is good,i will prime w kilz primer ,i usually dont use nails ,so screws or 7/16 medium crown staples are what i use and quickly put together w glue ,and let dry,i did have to repair a few splinters,or chips ,but have just got used to doing that so they will hold up for years,.happy beekeeping ,i found the longer squeeze clamps a must so i have 4 and holds the joints tight as the glue drys.

Very good fit to the pieces and assembles well. Good quality wood and very sturdy when assembled. Base does not have cut corners like other base that I have dealt with (I cut the corners). Now for the oddities. Handle grooves are very small. Inner cover does not have a vent slot (I cut one in). Top cover fits snug, no front to back play for ventilation (I trimmed a bit off on the inside). Base is not ventilated, nor does it have a spot for mite board. I bought this for the brood box and the super, so those oddities were not a real problem. I may try the bottom board on a hive that likes to sit underneath on the mite board (but will likely ventilate it). With all that said, I would likely but again for the purpose I purchased for. I would not by and expect to use it all as manufactured as a whole hive. It was considerably cheaper than purchasing the parts I wanted elsewhere.

My past experience with purchasing hive components gave me an idea of the cost because I like to buy hive kits and assemble them myself. When I came across the VEVOR beehive add I was a little bit leary due to the low cost and a concern with quality. I have purchased entire kits before and spent a lot of time trimming and cutting so the components fit correctly. Regardless of past experience I decided to take a chance and purchased the hive. The order arrived in a timely manner and my first impression of the hive came when I picked up the box. It was heavy which was a good sign. Anxious to see if I had purchased another “trim it to fit” kit I immediately grabbed the boxes to see how the dovetails fit. I was pleasantly surprised as I quickly put together a couple of the deep and medium boxes without issue. I will admit I had to do a little trimming on one or two dovetails but it was very minimal but still gave it 5 stars. Honestly it deserves a 4.5. The hive was constructed of quality wood, components were cleanly cut and the rest of the kit was exactly as advertised. This was a quality kit and I would certainly recommend this to any beekeeper. I also noticed today that the same kit was about ten dollars cheaper than when I purchased mine. I would purchase again.

Nicely made but did not come with hardware to assemble the boxes or the frames.

This is super easy to assemble. A great deal for a wood hive. Includes one large brood box and 4 mediums as listed. I'm going to make open bottom frames with short starter wax strips (not usual plastic comb guides) and put a medium below the large, with frames for a larger bee built brood area between the two than the large provides alone. That'll leave 3 honey supers. That'll make this a fine set up. Comes with all you need but frames.Pros: affordable, sturdy, quick assembly, decent quality, totally functional and customizable. Fast shipping.Con: no nails included. (Doesn't include frames but that's listed.)

Box came torn up, 3 pieces were broken apart but easily fixable. Directions are a bit lacking in details. Assembly is for someone who is a DIYer not a novice. Would have been nice to have the screws and nails included in the kit,
