controlled speed a plus

After 4 days, I got it working. I think. I'm not 100%. I'm not sure if the right bolts are in the wrong spots or if I should stick with my carving knife.

Has nice variable speed controls, great for beginners and small projects, iT is my sons first large and he is 17.

It's a decent machine. A bigger machine with more versatility would be nice but for what it's worth it's a nice machine.

Nice small lathe. Heavy cast iron construction. The only problem is with the variable speed control will not go below 1500 R.P.M. The shipping carton was destroyed, just an open cardboard box with no top.

The shipping was fast and contents well packed (in spite of some rough handling. Directions and documentation were a little thin, but if you've used a wood lathe it shouldn't be a problem. The lathe came almost completely assembled and was easy to set up. I was impressed with the quality and how smooth it operates (very sturdy and well balanced). A great value at under $300!

The unit I ordered arrived with the bed snapped in half. Customer service was in touch after a few days and were helpful in replacement and updating me on the shipment. The lathe works like a champ, I did have to order an adapter for the chuck I wanted to use, but other than that definitely worth the money!
