This metal chicken run is what I needed to protect my birds!! It was easy for 2 people to put together, difficult for one person alone. We hooked the end directly to the outside of the coop, so they can come and go at will. The half door makes it easy to feed the chickens without any getting out. For more room for my large flock, I ordered a second, which will be installed on the side of the first, making the forage area 20X20. Just for extra safety, we put a row of cinderblocks all around the bottom edge. Because of our snow, we are thinking of tarping more of the top and side just for the winter. Now all the birds need is a swing for fun play.

I love this thing but not as much as my chickens do! Easy assembly. Seems rickety when putting it together but once you get the wire on and start lacing it together, everything tightens up and becomes really sturdy. Be mindful when putting the wire on not to leave any of the sharp metal bits poking out to snag clothes or chicken eyes. We did purchase anchors for this to secure it to the ground due to high winds in my area. Haven’t been through a winter with it yet so will see how that goes!

Took a lot of time to put together but this run is exactly what I needed. It has worked fantastic and my chickens are very happen. It is sturdy enough to hang the food and water which is convenient. Great deal for the price, just have to set aside a weekend to build it.

I bought this to put my garden in to keep birds and critters out. From what my husband tells me the frame was fairly easy to put together…. The chicken wire on the other hand was time consuming. It all came together though and is exactly what we needed. Everything was delivered in one box. My husband turned the latch on the bottom door the other direction and zip tied the to halves together since I don’t necessarily need two sections since I’m not using it for chickens.

Great for a budget. A bit of work to get assembled.

This aviary is incredibly nice. The only drawback is that it takes quite a while assemble. For the price it is an incredibly nice item.

What a great chicken run. Was super easy and fast to put together and the chickens love it.

We got this for our 8 chickens. We are from Michigan. We put a trap on the top of the whole run and covered the sides with plastic pvc roof panels. Last night I was in it feeding the chickens and the whole roof collapsed on me and the chics. We all made it out safe. I just have a roof now pointing at the ground and the sides still standing. I’m going to have to wait for the snow to melt to see the full damage, but it did not withstand the winter, heavy snow we have gotten in the last couple days. Now I’m not sure what to do.

Frame goes together quick and easily. Cutting and securing the chicken wire to the frame on the other took me two days (I did it with no help, if there are two people I still would say it will take you a full day). Seems to be sturdy, no real complaints there. I had to purchase additional zip ties to ensure the walls and roof were REALLY secure. Also purchased additional chicken wire for the floor so nothing could dig under the frame and enter pen. Not a bad purchase though and all in all I am happy with it.
