Hooked machine up to an R.O. Water system , no filters to mess with. Works quite well and will over produce . You need to monitor your humidity levels so that you do not over produce. Do not know how long it will live but could not ask for a better machine

I waited almost a month before writing this review, and I am pleased to report that it works great. I have positioned it to face the room and experienced no issues. Following a suggestion from one of the reviews, I use a Zero Water filter and a 5-gallon container to store water when I can't filter it immediately. I previously owned two large Venta air washers, but this one outperforms them and effectively adds humidity throughout my entire home, which is 1,630 square feet. I set it to 55%, and the humidity levels in the rooms range from 49% to 55%.

You DO NOT NEED TO USE DISTILLED or Reverse Osmosis WATER! Simply use GOOD FILTERED water. You can get ZEROWATER 22 cup model for only $25 - it will remove all minerals and easily last a year. The unit is silent, easy to configure and will easily humidify an entire floor. A BARGAIN under $100. Much better than Honeywell Evaporative Units - we had several of those and they are NOISY and a pain to constantly fill up

I was so impressed with my purchase that I bought two more one for each of my children. We all live in the northeast and the dry air in the winter is brutal. I get nose bleeds and really dry skin. Highly recommend it.

Two things I want tio mention. 1. We have to refill it every night. We only use it at night, and it always needs to be refilled. 2. It puts out a great deal of mist. If you have wood floors, like we do,d they will be slippery to walk on. Otherwise, it functions as described.

Easy to fill. Easy to use. I do not regret this purchase. Bought for my home. It keeps the entire downstairs comfortable in the winter. I use a small fan to help circulate the air.

We been dealing with smaller humidifiers for years. When I saw this it was what I have wanted for a very long time. I have had this about a month and I'm so glad I got it. Easy set up and the 16L capacity last all day and into the next. I also have a Vevor water distiller, our water here is very hard and I fill the humidifier with that. Ensuring that I don't get a buildup in the humidifier. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I really like this humidifier. It can put out tons of moisture for a week or more without refilling and the UV sterilizer makes me feel reassured the water won’t get disgusting in that time. I like that you can set the humidity % and the moisture level and just forget about it for a while! Our family all had terrible sore throats and congestion because of the dry air with the heat cranked and this cleared us up within 24 hours. A couple improvements this unit could have: the ability to remove the long water vapor tube to keep the vapor more evenly distributed would be great (it’s a tall machine and humidity rises). Also if it had the ability to restore its settings when powered off would make it so much easier to use with a smart home, because when the power turns off you have to manually turn it back on and reprogram it. Also the humidity sensor reads about 3-5% higher than the actual humidity, so you have to adjust your settings accordingly. For the price though, this is a great humidifier.
