The unit feels very sturdy, the blower is VERY strong and quiet for it's size. The volume of the blower is something virtually any dog should be able to be comfortable with, the variable speed is a huge plus with a lot of strength to penetrate deep long-haired dogs, but able to be turned to relatively gentle for face and ears. The heat is turned-on by a separate switch- and while not regulated, it got warm but not hot. This should be comfortable and safe for any dog, warming those that may be small and chilled even when bathed with warm water. The comb, flat blower and tube features should suffice for any hair type and either simply dry or with comb to dry and fluff when suitable. The hose is heavier and likely thicker material than a typical vacuum cleaner extension and it's ability to be stretched/extended is excellent. (I would however either mount it on a shelf or operate from the floor to prevent falling/dropping while pulling on the hose.) Overall, I would say this is more than adequate in strength and durability for a home-owner with several dogs, I'm have some doubts if it would hold-up for the daily use of a professional groomer or salon. They probably already know and have commercial-grade units. As I typically explain that while sent to be at no charge as a Vine reviewer - nobody \"buys\" a 5-star review from me. However even as writing this, I have decided I will be buying a second unit to keep one at home and one at my cottage for when the dogs play in the lake and must be dried more quickly to go into cottage at night or into truck for a ride. At this price it will save me time and A LOT of toweling/towel washing.
