Good piece of equipment, but need a better cable that doesn't kink as much or design the reel better to dispense the cable properly.

We have a 200' low slant sewer drain that has multiple curves with a 4' PVC. A few years ago we installed 3 drain outs so the plumbers could easily clear it out whenever it backed up. This time, I decided I was tired of paying $200+ every 2-3 years to have someone come out and do something I knew I could do myself if I had the machine.The machine worked great. After spending a few minutes with the instruction manual, I found it easy to use. It comes with everything you need to get started and to take care of a variety of scenarios. I first bored through the blockage which only took a few minutes. Then I attached more of a cleaning tool that took a few hours but I know I was able to clean out the pipe making it less likely to have to worry about it backing up for awhile. The plumbers that had come before never did anything but just make sure it was backed up and then they quit. The machine seems to have plenty of motor strength for the length of cable. It got stuck a couple of times but it was easy to back out and push through. I bought this one because it seemed to be the best value. It came with everything that I needed. It was a lot less then some and I am not going to need it that often. (It is not like I am a professional plumber who will be using it every day.) But even if I was using it daily, it seemed built to last overall.

This machine is a beast! Unclogged my drain very quickly!! Very easy to use. Paid for itself in 1 use!!

The machine arrived on time but with a little damage. The supplier is replacing a wheel for me. The machine is well presented and meets the requirements of a home owner. A professional would need a more robust machine for constant use. I have used the machine to cut through a root problem I have with our old cast iron drain line. It took a couple of attempts to break down the root web but it finally worked with a single cutter instead of two blades. I have had this line cleared by professionals 6 or more times over the last 4 years. It is costly, so I decided to buy my own machine to keep the tree roots controlled every 3 months. This machine allows me to do this cost effectively. I would strongly urge all users to read the instructions fully and understand exactly how to use the machine safely as you can get hurt. Also I would encourage people not to force the wire feed and learn to pause to allow the cutters to do their work. It is easy to tangle the cable both inside and outside the drum. Patience is essential. I do like this machine for home use and hope to get years of service from it. So far so good!

The machine arrived quickly and I was able to clear the floor drain in my basement. It was nice to get the floor drain open

This is a good machine, but be careful. My machine the cable was wrapped backwards, making cable twist and tangle in drum. Lucky I knew better and wrapped properly, also I had to purchase proper boring head for proper direction. It should be wrapped counter clockwise, not clockwise.
