excellent isolator kit with everything you need to install. I have already installed this in my car, and ZTM & it works great. Prior to installing this my starter battery would be drained after short use of the head lights. Well worth the price.

Piece of cake install. I added inline fuses in my install. I wired the ground to the factory ground on the firewall. Super easy and works exactly as advertised. Camped with it twice now without issues. 2012 Chevy Silverado.

It works!
I posted the question about the use of a lithium battery with this system and then I did some research and found out that lithium batteries and automobile alternators do not like each other and the lithium battery can damage alternators. I instead got a sealed lead acid battery and after installing the kit found it to be a good setup. I have a light that is 30 wats and on a 12-volt system draws about 2.5 amps. My lead acid battery is 7-amp hour so it should power the light for almost 3 hours with out touching my main cranking battery. I know that my main battery could power the light for 3 hours and still have enough cranking power to start my car but I had it plugged into a cigarette lighter power port and after the car is shut off all the power ports turn of after about 50 minutes. This solenoid system solves both issues. More detailed instructions would be helpful but if you are something close to a “Motor head” you shouldn’t have any trouble installing the kit. The only real problem I had installing the kit came when several of the screws decided that they would rather live in the deep recessed of my engine compartment then the hole they were intended for.

Great kit and very easy to install with minimal experience. A good crimping tool is essential the securing cable end connectors. Works as described. I have independent voltage gauges for each battery. The unit's cut in, cut out voltage was accurate.
