So, I have several Vevor lifts in use in my workshop. I made a personal lift to take me up to my loft in my workshop that is about 9' off the ground. I was using the PA400 with the stainless steel wire cable, but after several years of use, the cable began to fray. Vevor DOES NOT sell replacement parts - you have to purchase the WHOLE UNIT again to just replace the cabling which to me is kinda dumb. Since I could not get the replacement cabling, and to be honest, the fraying cable made me very uncomfortable reusing again, I decided to go with something a little more beefier - Chain. I had to do a little finigling, but I was able to make it work and not its great and I don't worry about the chain breaking on me. I admit its a little slower than the wired lift, but I feel much safer. I'm only giving this unit Four Stars because 1) I just put it in and time will tell, 2) Vevor offers NO REPLACEMENT Parts. Best of luck.
