Have only used it once & it was great! BUT upon inspecting it after it cooled, I found that there was a hairline crack clear through the ceramics in the lid. Having had no incident & knowing that it wasn't cracked beforehand I have requested a replacement lid. Have "spoken" with a few different customer service folks & last I heard they were going to replace it but haven't heard back nor received it. Hoping that it arrives soon & I can resume using it.

Works as advertised. I really like the graphite crucible to pour the metal out into the sand mold. I am just learning to cast AL parts - it is more difficult than planned, but this melting furnace worked as advertised. It was well packaged and delivered promply and in good condition. I might recommend the larger crucible if you plan to create med size parts or multiple parts at one time.

Works great, successfully melted several pounds of brass. True plug and play performance no assembly required. Only issue is the included gloves are way to small and I don't have large hands. Does excellent for price would recommend, affordable and efficient safety first, does great, none to little learning curve.

Works as advertised used it a number times already for gold, silver, and copper. With satisfactory results each time. Not for use with platinum group metals ad it dose not reach the appropriate temperatures. This is a nice piece of equipment at a great price point. I would recommend this product for the beginner as well as the skilled tradesman looking to do small batch melts and castings.

I purchased this small electric melting furnace to use on small batches of precious metals that I wouldn't want to use the gas furnace for. Usually in the 2 to 5 ounce range. So far, it's been a great little addition with fairly quick heat-up times and accurate temperature control. I've used it for Silver, Brass and Copper and each time it performed perfectly.

The forge is exactly like the Devil Forge I currently own. I can see no physical differences in the smelter itself. There is a difference in regulator gauge (this one is more robust) and the pipe into the smelter. Just like with Devil Forge, you need to buy refractory cement to seal the wool so that it works at its maximum and also prevents you from breathing in fibers. I'm very happy!

Wish it came with a smaller crucible as well as a big one. However for the price and it's reliability I'm a happy scrapper.

This came beautiful. compared to other reviews and what i got, they're getting better. Getting some refactor and going to fire this up and try to melt some brass. waiting for the crucible to get out of the oven. running it at 400 degrees for about an hour to get moisture out. would have given 5 stars if it werent for the mismatched propane fitting. but otherwise this is going to be great!

Great product for the price! Bought to melt copper unfortunately it DOES reach temp yet it takes 2+hrs to melt by time its ready to melt it nedds to be shut down! I will say alluminum will melt super easy and lower melt metals! I returned mine due to needing a higher temp but respect the product!
