Heavy duty
Like how heavy duty it is, dislike how much it weighs. 300 lbs is a lot to be mounted overhead. But it will do the job no problem. I dont' have to wait for it to cool or anything.

Elevator lift
I ran the cable through another sheeve and tripled the lifting capacity of my home-built elevator. Its slower but works great. When the cable wears out (starts fraying), I'll replace it with coated cable. The motor control is only UP and DN. Would have liked to have a wiring diagram that was easier to understand and included an option for a holding relay with a STOP button and upper and lower limit switches.

Very heavy duty hoist
This is a HEAVY duty hoist—it weighs a ton! I haven’t mounted it yet, but I tried it on the ground and it’s a beast! I’ll be using it on an outside elevator system to avoid carrying heavy loads up outside steps.

Cant beat it
I have the Harbor Freight version of this hoist and am using it in my garage ceiling like I think most are judging by customer photos.I recommend using 1.5” perforated square tubing with this hoist instead of unistrut.I like to attach one under the trusses with lag bolts then run 4 - 3/8 studs with end nuts to another square 1.5” perforated tube on the backside of the trusses for extra support. If you can manage to grab the backside of atleast 5-6 trusses it would confidently lift 600lbs without hurting the home IMO

Great winch for price
Easy to setup and use. Installed in attic to lift heavy stuff through attic ladder hole.

Good but small remote cable
Works well, but the three foot long remote cable sucks. Youre right in the way if the cable snaps

Did what we wanted
The product worked very well. My husband used it to lower our 100lb light fixture in our dining room and he feels he will be using it for many projects. Would definitely recommend it.

Works
I got this cos my wife broke her leg and couldn't stand or sit properly with all her weight on the one leg. (she's very unfit, hehe) I welded up a small gantry, bought a confined space harness, problem solved. I winched her up and down stairs and from a sitting to standing position with relative ease. I can recommend it to anyone who has to lift a fat sod with a broken leg. She's up and about now and I hope she doesn't see this review, LOL.

Very Handy!
We installed in our attic to hoist holiday decoration boxes up and down. So easy to use & has saved our backs from lifting heavy bulky boxes.
