I personally needed this for deer hunting, makes processing a breeze no more pulling ropes and climbing ladders to hang that big one. Size I got was over kill.

Using the hoist as a hangar winch

I'm using this to pull a 2500 lb airplane up a small incline into a hangar. I had a previous, lighter weight version of this same hoist that was modified by an aircraft parts supplier to mount on the concrete floor as a winch. The other winch died after 10 years, and buying the unmodified hoist was about 33% the price of buying one with the added winch mods. Slow, but it works great and includes a wireless remote control instead of a cabled hand control.

Bought this to use in our cabin. We removed stairs going to the loft. Use this to lift me and whatever I need to store in the loft. A little on the loud side but being that it's seldom used that's not an issue. Speed was an issue until I used the block it came with and it is a perfect speed now. Great unit for the job. Good quality and complete with hardware to mount. Wireless remote works flawlessly anywhere in our cabin. I would recommend this unit for any project within its limits.

I upgraded from a lesser size to the 2200 lb. Same brand. I like the wireless controller. The wire seems capable and the motor runs smoothly once it's engaged. We have this in our pole barn and use it to hang butchered animals. Could also be used for auto related stuff.

Excellent hoist. Did the job I purchased it for. Would have preferred that it had provision for mechanical[pendant] control as well as remote control. This turned out to be very inconvenient. Otherwise very happy with hoist.
