DO NOT BUY! Customer service nonexistent, you have to submit only online. I set this up 44 feet from the ground. Lifted single 50lb bags no problem. When I went to lift 100lbs the support bar started shaking! The support arm disconnected and my 2 bags of cement and the support bar crashed to the ground from 40 feet. Pulled out of the wall. The pin was left behind on my deck and the washer was found the next day on the beach. Thank god nobody was at the bottom and the weight of the bags pulled the support brace away from the building.

Horse great with crane winch
I used U-bolts to fasten as recommended by another review and worked perfect. Easy to assemble and well-made.

I installed mine on a 6x6 post on the lean-too of my pole barn with some square u-bolts. Its easy to install and seems to work well. There is one very important thing missing from the instructions which I think makes this jib hoist dangerous. If you are utilizing the extended tube, which I did, the lower pivot pin assembly needs to be turned upside down. With a hoist installed on the end of the extension tube the end of the hoist arm on the pivot pin is being lifted up. You are now depending on just the cotter pin not shearing to keep it from failing. I turned mine upside down installing the thrust bearing first. It works just fine that way and there is no risk of the cotter pin shearing. I did not realize this until I had mine installed. Not sure why this is not in the instructions. I am a Mechanical Engineer by trade so I have some idea of what I am talking about. Keep this in mind when installing. My 2 cents.
