It’s ok and gets the job done but, after having used other bench top and full size threading machines I can say that this unit doesn’t cut wry nice threads.
First of all, the instructions are not very clear about where to place the guide clamp and it took me a while to figure out how to attach the clamp that gives good results. Second, getting the thread started is not easy and requires that pressure be applied to push the die to grab the pipe (grab some gloves cause you’re gonna need them). The machine gets the job done but the threads come out looking “choppy “ and not very clean. I will say that I’m using Schedule 160 stainless pipe and can only comment based on that so it’s possible that better results might be achieved with schedule 40/80 steel pipe? The old saying is true that you get what you pay for… for $200 Issa good deal but honestly, I’d rather have a bench top or full size unit.
