It’s ok and gets the job done but, after having used other bench top and full size threading machines I can say that this unit doesn’t cut wry nice threads. First of all, the instructions are not very clear about where to place the guide clamp and it took me a while to figure out how to attach the clamp that gives good results. Second, getting the thread started is not easy and requires that pressure be applied to push the die to grab the pipe (grab some gloves cause you’re gonna need them). The machine gets the job done but the threads come out looking “choppy “ and not very clean. I will say that I’m using Schedule 160 stainless pipe and can only comment based on that so it’s possible that better results might be achieved with schedule 40/80 steel pipe? The old saying is true that you get what you pay for… for $200 Issa good deal but honestly, I’d rather have a bench top or full size unit.

Great Pipe Threader, Great Price
Wow! This pipe threader is great for the price! I can't speak highly enough as it can hang with the big boys like RIGID, Milwaukee or any other high-end brand.

amazing
Does it's job, already payed itself off did over 50 threads and it's still going strong. Couldn't be happier, dewalt and milwaukee are 10 times more expensive and this does the job just fine

tarraja electrica

Ran some gas pipe and it worked very well. Cut good threads and no leaks! Clamp does not prevent threader from rotating so you need to go slowly and definitely hold on tight.

Very hard to start threading and my 3/4 die broke on the second use. How do I get a replacement 3/4 die?

Havent used it but was disapointed that the dies do not fit a Ridgid or Ridgid do not fit this electric threader..

Great performance price and quality
We are using the pipe stand and pipe thread cutter to perform repairs at a waste water treatment plant. The pipe diameter is 1.25 inched. The thread cutter has all the power needed and does not struggle. The pipe stand has a wide base, and is very stable.

Works well
Works so much easier and quicker than my hand ratcheting pipe threader! Also happens to use the same dies so I have spares! HINT: be sure to use a fair amount of cutting oil as you start and mid-way to prevent chattering and produce smooth threads. It’s a noisy beast, too! Don’t know if any are made, but it might be a nice feature if it were variable speed and had a brake to quickly stop rotation when the trigger is released! The pipe clamp doesn’t grip well . . . the teeth don’t seem to bite deep enough and if not tight enough the pipe will start to spin . . . and the motor doesn’t stop quickly so it may spin the pipe one or more revolutions before stopping after you release the trigger. Boogers up the pipe! I will attempt to make the teeth sharper and hopefully that will correct that issue.I have clamped the pipe in a pipe vise and simply held the threader but that requires quite a lot of pressure to hold it and could cause injury if you relaxed even a little . . . and remember the motor does not stop turning immediately after releasing the trigger.

Beats hand threading
Works good and gets job done. Don’t over oil the shavings will get jammed inside die. With couple of drops of oil will do a professional thread. Definitely beats hand threading
