Worked great
Used this to dig 12 post holes in Georgia clay. Had no issue using the tool and when it did get caught on a rock it didnt dislocate my arm. Would buy it again, cleaner and cheaper than buying a gas one from harbor freight.

Worked well
I used this today to dig some postholes, and it worked well. I have a layer of hard packed clay in the soil here and it can take me up to 2 hours to dig a hole by hand. Once you hit the clay you have to just use the weight of the machine to carve away at it, or it will stop if you put any additional pressure on it. It has some kind of internal clutch that will let it slip, so you don't hurt yourself if it gets bound up. I used a Sawzall to cut any roots I ran into. One of the holes didn't have a clay layer and it took about 1 minute to go 30 inches. I'm happy with it. Good deal.

Great tool!
This auger works very well. It is designed to bore into dirt, clay, sand or other soft soils. It was NOT designed to break through rocks or cut through heavy (larger than 1/4" or so) roots. No auger of this size and power could be expected to do that. The quality is quite good for this price range. It has plenty of power and is easy to handle. This unit DOES have a clutch, and will NOT twist your hand off if it gets caught on an obstacle. A very nice feature. This unit is perfect for the occasional hole for a mailbox or bird feeder. I can't speak to how it would hold up boring for hundreds of fence posts, but I'm very satisfied. Recommended.

Good little post hole digger
This may not be the most robust hole digger on the market. I wouldn’t recommend it for extremely rocky soil, but it does well with clay and smaller rocks. I’m satisfied.

This thing is awesome .. works really good .. if you pay more for another brand then you better keep your fingers crossed .. because I'll bet it won't be as good as this one

Nice...
I'll begin with the only downside. I wish it had reverse, even if the offer was with or without reverse, and the price was higher with it. I feel the option being provided would be a great addition. I'm also unclear as to why they only provide like one other size auger drill bit attachment for purchase, which is always out of stock. They should provide the option of purchasing every size there is, with a heavy discounts for purchasing multiple sizes. Now the good stuff. I am impressed with Vevor quality so far overall with every product I have purchased the last few years, and if they keep up their current promotional skills, commitment to improving website quality, ease of use, along with continued level of combination quality/price point with their variety of merchandise which seems to grow everyday, most importantly excellent customer care/service/concern, then WATCH OUT AMAZON!! lol

This unit will cut through small roots with little to no problem.
lives up to the hip. drilled one hole right next to tree stump. Cut through a 3 1/2" root in no time at all. when bit cleared root base, it drilled down to the full 39" depth with ease. It has all the power you need. will work on small portable generator too. Will worth the money.

Way better than hand digging
I live in central ohio in farm country. Not many rocks in my dirt. It is a clay and Liam soil. This made quick work of making holes for 4x4s. I expect to get many more uses out of it. Like others say. Just pull up every few inches of depth and it will work great. I had zero issues worst part is lugging it to the hole.

Surprisingly effective
This little auger was capable of clearing 55 belled post holes to a depth of 30" each in rocky soil.

Great for the money
I bought this auger to install a fence in my backyard. I purchased Since it got good reviews and was cheaper to purchase than to rent. I have hard clay and it handled well. I have used gas powered augers in the past and sometimes they are too powerful in that if you hit a rock or root, the torque almost breaks your wrist. I’m glad I purchased it.
