This makes quick work of wood laminate flooring, and is so much cleaner (both in terms of cut quality and dust) than a saw. I had assumed it would just be good for straight cuts, but it does have space near one end to allow notches to be made. There is some assembly needed, but once done it's quick and easy to set up and use. There is also a safety pin that has to be pulled before the blade will be released - so it's safe to pack, as well as safe to store even where kids might have access (though for safety a responsible user will keep it out of reach of kids at all times anyway). It's very sturdy, doesn't flex, and appears like it should last a long time. I'm looking forward to my next flooring project.
