Pretty heavy duty, but gears using iron if you are making a lot of personalized hats.

Great entry level hat press with a good price. I would recommend this to anyone that is adding leather patches to hats.

Works great! Makes pressing hat patches onto hats with a heat, transfer fast and easy. It’s simple to use. Once you set it up it’s heated just lift the press place the hat it has a hat stretch knob on the front to hold the hat in place. Set your desire and time press the press down, and it automatically starts and count down to your desire time. Adjust the pressure, temperature and time. Presses, heavy and durable does not move or shift in anyway. Great quality press with a digital display for the price makes pressing hats, fast and easy for bulk job operations.

This works very well for setting laser engraved patches. I use a carbon fiber transfer sheet to protect the patches. 325 degrees for 25 seconds and done.

Love this machine. Works great as expected from vevor. Will be ordering the automatic version soon. I wish they came with pressing pillows or silicone mats to use as well but its ok.
