Love it!
I use this to distill water for homemade cleaning solutions, my humidifier, and some plants. I've had it for just over two years now, and it's only halfway to making its money back by not having to buy bottled distilled water from the store. When it's done doing its thing, I usually just splash some straight vinegar at the bottom and let it sit for a while to wash away all the minerals.

Great value for home distilled water
I bought this after finding out that my small town has no recycling programs, due to the cost of trucking all the material to a larger city with such capabilities. Throwing away two gallon jugs a week that I bought distilled water in bothered me. After having this still for a year, I finally plugged it into a watt-meter and found out that it only uses around 2.5kW/h to distill a gallon of water, which comes out to around $0.30/gallon power cost for me. That's saving over $1/gallon when taking taxes into account! Considering that I can use up to two gallons a week in the humidifier alone, depending on the season, this still has already paid for itself in the year I've had it, and it's showing no signs of failure. My only (minor!) complaints about the still are that the default setpoint for the temp controller is at 105°C which boils off all of the water, leaving a hard scale, and that cleaning the scale is required as often as it is. Setting the temperature down to around 101°C makes it much more likely to leave a tiny amount of watery sludge instead of baking it all on, which lets me rinse out a good bit of it. I do live in an area with very hard water, so scale buildup will definitely vary by local water quality. I've been recommending this to anyone who I know who might find any possible use for distilled water on a more than occasional basis.

Distilled Water
It works great! During the pandemic it was hard to find distilled water in grocery stores. Glad we bought it.

Husband was skeptical, now a believer
My husband uses distilled water for his BPAP machine. There have been issues with availability/supply chain the last couple years. It was getting frustrating until I learned these machines existed for using in the home setting. The reviews looked good and cost was reasonable so I purchased one. My husband wasn't excited like I was at first, but found it to be easy, convenient, and useful after about a month of use. He finally thanked me for the thoughtful purchase.

You'll love distilled water!
This thing runs constantly in our house. The quality is great and it's better for you. We try and keep a 3 gallon reserve because we make so much coffee and tea throughout the day! The instructions are hilarious but it's not that complicated.

Easy to use
My large humidifier can hold 2 gallons of water. I prefer using distilled water to keep the tank clean longer. Every week I would buy 2 gallons which meant 2 plastic bottles to recycle. Now, I make my distilled water. It takes approximately 4 hrs to distill 1 gallon. My biggest concern was if the utility bill would go up at all, and it barely did. I love this distiller and highly recommend it.

If you have a Cpap Machine, you'll want this.
The main and only reason for this was to eliminate the need to waist money on gallons of distilled water at the grocery store. I have sleep apnea, and use a cpap machine. They are required to use distilled water. Now since this falls under medical necessity, my hsa card paid for it. Anything health related is covered for purchasing.

70 gallons and still works
So often I’m finding the quality of electronics to be so poor that they barely last long enough to break even. I bought this to save me from driving to the store to buy distilled water every other day. I don’t have storage space for more than three gallons and I use one and a half to two gallons per day. This runs almost non stop and so far it has provided 70 gallons. It takes up a moderate amount of counter space and the fan is as noisy as a microwave running but I’ve gotten used to it and don’t even notice it anymore. I’m glad I made this purchase.
