Was very skeptical, but put it on my 89 vision boat with 88 evinrude 150xp. Super easy to install, great quality, and now that I've used it for a while can couches for ease of use and durability. Great product, highly recommend.

Quality of this steering is great and installation would take about two people to make the installation efficient. After installation I can literally steer my 20 ft boat with two fingers. Just make sure there is no air in the line. Hose quality is really high quality and it includes adapters for installation. I would highly recommend over a mechanical steering

I installed the 150HP variant on my old 19 foot Pro Line that I repowered from an old 2-stroke to 4-stroke. This steering system was very straightforward to install, especially with the help of YouTube videos; I did it on my own. The only part I had someone help with was filling and bleeding the fluid. Honestly, I had a harder time getting the old cable steering system out of the boat because of the corrosion. I've taken the boat out twice so far and it's working as expected. No leaks and steering feels tight and direct.

I had a No Fed Back cable steering on my Yamaha F115 for over 20 years and helm had started to wear out. I decided to go with Hydraulic Steering. I researched the high end and low end steering systems and decided to go with the Vevor which is a Noerl system. I just took the boat out for a long day fishing on the Bay and it performed flawlessly. It steered smooth and easy under power and held the line when I needed to release the steering wheel. I checked for leaks before I trailered my boat and after using it and could not find a drop of fluid anywhere. At this point I am extremely pleased with it. On the downside. If you are not mechanically inclined and do not understand the principals of hydraulics I would suggest you have someone that does install it. The installation manual can be a bit confusing and leaves out stuff like, either pre-prime the steering pump or while bleeding the system keep pressure on the pump while bleeding each side of the cylinder. If you don't you will never achieve a solid turn cycle since there will be air in the lines. I also suggest that if you are pulling the hoses into a tube that you when you tape them together you put about 6" distance between the two hoses so the tip of the pull can guide through the wires and stuff that you have to pull through. This is just my opinion of the steering kit.

All good but you need patience when bleeding the system. The only thing negative is you have to turn the steering wheel twice compared to cable steering but it’s a lot easier with no engine torque and you can let go of wheel at high speed or low speed and still be going straight.

Put this unit on my hard steering 115 Optimax on my fishing boat. Wow what a difference and so easy to install! Quality was way better than expected for this very reasonably priced unit, I highly recommend this product for your steering upgrade.

A quality product that fitted easily and replaced a mechanical steering on a Lexington 22’ pontoon boat with 115 susuki. - the 24’ hydraulic hose was just right length The difference in steering torque is very noticeable and a very worthwhile upgrade - well pleased with my purchase.

I found the instillation was very easy but the final step when bleeding the air out was a bit of trouble. I think a valve (like the valves on the motor end) at the helm to close off the fluid and keep a head on the fluid level would help a lot

Best thing that I have installed on my boat, just love it! I would recommend this hydraulic steering to anyone who has cable steering. The cost is less than half of Seastar/Baystar.
