This thing worked well the first time i used it. The second time I heated the water and kept it on the feature to stay the same temp. I went outside was having bonfire came back in because luckily my daughter smelt the burning plastic smell. It burnt my counters and the bottom was burnt with black smoke all the device, there was still plenty if water right between the min and max area. The worser part was trying to get this item replaced or my money returned they were terrible they advised me they would only give 20 back at first and kept doing this in small increments, it was insane! Eventually I did get my money back but would not buy from them again.

I BOUGHT THIS KETTLE AND AFTER THREE TIMES IT BECAME A FIRE HAZARD !!!! ONCE SET TO TEMP IT WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AS IT SUPPOSED TO DO. IF I DIDN'T CATCH IT IN TIME IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE. WORSE THAN THAT, IT TOOK ME OVER 15 EMAILS WITH VEVOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO HAVE THEM FINALLY REFUND MY MONEY AFTER HAVING TO CONTACT MY CREDIT CRAD COMPANY TO GET INVOLVED SO THEY COULD FINALLY DO THE RIGHT THING. I WILL ALSO NEVER AGAIN DEAL WITH VEVOR. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL. SLEAZY COMPANY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Worked ok for 2 times then when using heating it won't stop heatlng the water and has a funny smell emiting from the unit you don't even need to turn it on as soon as you plug it in it starts Heating so be careful don't leave unattended if we handent been watching it it might of started on fire, Disappointment will send back
