I use this to assist in bookbinding and I really enjoy the beautiful cuts this makes to smooth out book block edges. It’s a very heavy machine so I’d recommend to have a permanent spot chosen for it. I currently move it in and out of a cabinet when I need it and I don’t recommend that. The only reason I took 2 stars off is because I’m a bit disappointed in the guide lines on the work area and the paper alignment arm. There are ruler lines on both the top and the bottom of the work area and there are various corner guide lines for certain common types of cuts, A5 A4, etc. However the work area is lacking full small grid lines to help line up uncommonly sized papers. Yes it has very large grids but for precision sizing inches or cms would be more useful. It’s paper alignment arm has a straight edge to assist but since it’s able to be adjusted to any angle, getting it lined up to figure out a perfectly straight cut is annoyingly difficult because the arm is shorter than the work area and these chunky grid lines are not useful. I just wish they painted a full small grid on the work area or made this straight edge arm longer to reach the top and bottom ruler lines ☹️ My process requires I precisely measure where I want my cut lines on my book block, draw them onto the block and the use my line as the guide (rather than depending on the machines guide). Hope this explains it properly. All in all still worth it but just not simple to use.
