Came with customer foam inserts. Clearly the manufacturer cares enough to make sure the jack arrives in good condition. So many times in the past I have gotten other heavy equipment without half as much protection and it arrived in rough shape. Not this jack though. It showed up in fantastic condition. My first impression was WOW this thing is a beast! It has a very heavy, solid professional feel to it. A metal clip was attached to the handle socket which held it down to the base during transport. It was easily removed by prying it off with the open end of the handle. The handle was then easy to install by backing off the set screw on the jack socket and fitting the handle into it. The second half of the handle then fits into the first by depressing the spring loaded retention pin and letting it pop into it's pre-drilled hole. The design is very useful and utilitarian. The wide head and rubber pad ensure solid contact with the vehicle's frame. Wide handles on either side make it easy to pick up, carry, and hang up as needed. Unlike many other jacks, these handles leave enough room to accept a gloved hand, even a large one. The wheels are also very well designed. The front is more of a wide roller and it has two swivel casters in the back. All of them are large enough to operate on our packed dirt driveway (we don't have a garage). When jacking up a vehicle, the jack was able to move under the weight, as the base shifted under load the way it's supposed to. This was a great surprise because most jacks we've had can't handle the dirt that well.Operation is simple. It works the same way as every other floor jack I've ever used. Twisting the handle clockwise engages the pump mechanism for lifting and twisting counter-clockwise lowers it. The pivot points on the lifting arm and pad were smooth and solid. This jack works well for all our vehicles. From my tall pickup to our minivan which is so low to the ground that many jacks can't fit underneath. The low profile of this ja
