We recently had our roof redone and the roofers used their magnetic sweeper afterwards. We decided to go over our lawn again with the Vevor Sweeper and we picked up FOUR large handfuls of nails that the roofers missed! We even swept the street and found 8 in front of our house and on our driveway. We figured it paid for itself by preventing one flat tire. We found that pulling it backwards in thick grass sometimes worked better. Also, once we would hear a \"click\" we would pull the nail off right away because in thick grass, nails that were picked up by the magnet could be pulled off by the grass.

Poor design. As soon as you are done passing it over the floor your naural reaction is to pick it up and clean it over a garbage can but picking it up by the handle provided pulls the magnet away from the metal chips dropping them all over the floor. Needs another handle. Very clunky & loose design.

Upgraded from a lil 13", low power magnet sweeper to this. Great sweeper with adjustable wheel height (comes at lowest setting, which is great for areas cemented, not great for dirt or grass), telescopic handle, and a quick "pull" to release the items you've picked up. All n all, rated 4 stars because of build quality, 5 stars, and adjustability, 3.5 stars, which could use some re-engineering. Important points: Critical to get your wheel height right, especially dealing with uneven ground. the release is not electromagnet. It releases by separating the magnet inside enough from the surface that grabs the materials you're sweeping.

Got one long time ago and work great ...but broke down so was time for new one and was a good choice and its a little bigger then the old one....

The wheels are so small that you can’t use this on the grass. You pretty much can only use it on a flat concrete.! And the magnet this week, definitely regret this purchase

I chose the strongest magnetic pull rating for a smaller sized sweeper. This one fit the bill perfectly. This thing will pick up metal (nails & screws mostly) that you didn't even see. I actually did some more than average sweeping with It on my recent property purchase because of the amount of \"hardware\" that littered that property. It picked up over a pound of nails/screws so far with no problems. The magnet must really be strong because you can actually hear the nails and screw hit the magnet as you roll the sweeper. I will probably endorse It after some more \"testing\".

Picks up metal very well. We no longer have to worry about nails and things laying around.

We've picked up over 100 nails around our house that were missed by the roofers. Found a number of screws and other metal objects as well. Strong magnets and nice release function.

I appreciate the build quality and value. However, my only (minor) issue is the height when used in grass. Even though the grass is cut fairly short, the nails catch and many scrape back off. Changing direction helps raise the magnetic surface, but then it's not as strong. Maybe all of these tools are made this way and it's just the way it is. At any rate, I think it's a good product and I recommend it.
