Works great. The height adjusts so it's easy to go from driveway to grass. And the magnet disconnect makes easy clean up.

Picked up about a thousand nails and screws from my gravel driveway today….. The best part is that it has a “Release” lever that drops all the steel from the magnet and into the trash. The last one I used cost 200 bucks and you had to hand pick the steel items from the magnet. This thing rocks.

Great product. The magnet is super strong and works well for getting nails out of the yard and picking up fasteners around the garage. Pros: -quick setup -strong magnet -size is great for the yard -easy to release metal from the magnet Cons: -Height adjustment for the wheels requires tools and takes about five minutes to do. Not a big deal if you're only using it on a flat surface, but you will need to adjust when using on grass / uneven terrain Overall very happy with my purchase.

This magnetic pick-up tool looks exactly the same as the one sold at harbor freight. Likely the same factory made it. The item is a bit clunky, requiring shimming of the all thread shaft (for the wheels) with washers to take up slack. I also had to add collars to the interior diameter of the wheels because they're a bit too large for the axle, and they are plastic which would eventually wear away from rubbing against sharp threads. The handle could be better, as it's a 2 piece that only holds together with a set screw. With minor modifications taking ½ hours by a handyman, it's a nice functional unit. Straight out of the box, it needs a little work. Decent for a homeowner, but I wouldn't give it to a work crew and expect it to last very long. The wheels and handle are not durable. The magnet seems ok. 3 or 4 out of 5. It picks up most things I'd expect it to. One always needs to make multiple passes with this sort of tool anyway.

Did an outstanding job picking up all the nails the roofers left on the ground around our house so no flat tires on our vehicles or nails in our feet. The only issue with it was it didn't roll well on the grass even with it cut low. Not a complaint it still picked up the nails, just had to hold it and walk over the yard with no wheels on it. Would work perfectly on a flat surface. The release was handy too. Would recommend!!!!

This is similar to the one my son had that we used to pickup nails after we did some roof replacement jobs, my brother wanted one, so I ordered him one to find lost iron and steel nails, screws and the like in the yard and driveway. I had to make a support washer for the attachment point for the handle first thing, I took a SS fender washer, bent an appropriate curve to fit the pipe handle due to the thinness of the pipe gauge and the lack of support and secureness that it provided. Also there were no washers to separate the wheels bearing surface from the nuts that attached the axles (threaded rod) to the body or the wheel attachment nuts, which will surely cause premature wear and damage to the plastic wheels that came with the unit. (My brother is already having me look for better wheels as replacements) this unit as shipped would be alright for light duty residential use, but for professional use it will need the wheels and handle to be upgraded for durability sake.

Works great to pick up screws and nails from the garage floor, and if you pull up on the magnet, it easily releases them! Of course it won't pick up aluminum or stainless screws.
