Solid, heavy duty construction
Pleasantly surprised by the solid construction on this post. I was expecting a lighter weight metal. This is treated, it has a nice texture that looks rust resistant (which is good because I am using it in Florida). It's heavy, not very light. Screw holes are drilled well for easy install. I can give this 5 stars for quality and durability. This is going to last decades for sure.

Good sturdy Post
The post is one piece and slid right over the 4x4 post I needed to mount the mailbox on. Drilled screw to secure. Biggest issue is the mounting holes in the top plate did not line up with any holes in the mailbox and the mounting adapter plate Amazon suggested to order.

Impressive!
Few products correlate with the manufacturer's specifications and installation procedures. The post for the mailbox fitted precisely.

Awesome!
Works very well, super easy to install over a 4x4 post. Finish seems to be high quality. Awesome product at a great price!

Quality
Nice quality post. Much better quality than the aluminum post it’s replacing at a 3rd of the cost.

Mounting over std. mailbox post requires fitting.
IF you are pouring cement from scratch, just mount the bracket in the (attached photo) to the base ground cement and this will fit. If I had known this, I would have done it this way, but someone else poured the cement. The other video shows the shim and a scrap piece of 3x3 post.IF you want to slide this over an existing standard 3x3 post, this is larger inside, so this might be sloppy. You could simply drive screws through the street side that touches the wooden post and that should work OK.(OR)….You could just screw this steel post directly to the street side of the wooden post, but…..You can make make a shim to make this fit better.3/4” plywood, 3-1/2” wide x *30” long.30” is my length.Your length might be different. The wooden posts are NOT 3x3.They are 3-3/8” x 3”.Put this shim on the street side or the rear side.Do not screw the shim to the sides or this post might rock back & forth. This metal post is 3-7/8 square.Screw these shims to your existing post, then slip this steel post over the wood post and check the fit. Don’t force it or it will get stuck. Then drive a bunch of screws into it.At this time, you can move it side to side to correct the angle if it is a little off (like mine was) then drive the screws in.This is the plan for my post. You might have a different setup. Hope this helps.

Well made
Seems well made and worked great. Corners were bent but that is not a fault of the product.

Good Looking Product
I love the way it turned out, but it took way longer than it needed to. The directions need to say what size concrete bit to use I used a bit that was one size too big, so the anchors it came with would not work. I went and got other anchors that seemed a bit bigger, but they didn't grab, so I ended up back at the store, and had to buy a bit to make the holes bigger in the bottom plate, buy bigger anchors and then it finally worked. My mistake for drilling the hole too big in the first place, but if they simply said what size bit to use in the instructions that would have been very helpful.
