Customer Reviews for VEVOR Manual Pole Saw, 4.9-20 ft Extendable Tree Pruner, Sharp Steel Blade for High Branches Trimming, with Lightweight Aluminum Alloy Handle and a Chenille Brush, for Pruning Palms and Shrubs
If you need a longer pole saw, this works well. Put together in sections, you don't have to add any more length than is needed for the task at hand. It is a bit flexible at full length and requires some finesse to get going. If it were stiffer though, I'm sure the added weight would make it unusable for most people or too expensive if they used a lighter and stronger material. I recommend it.
I needed to trim high branches on a couple of trees that were touching our house. I was initially skeptical but now impressed at how well it worked. The sections screw together and then snap once tight. I did find that to reach higher branches it was easier to connect the poles vertically rather than attaching the poles on the ground and trying to then pick it up. It would have probably cost more to hire someone to do this work so now I have it to do future limb trimming.
It's 'wonderful' ONLY when using 3 extension poles maximum, so that's how I'll be using this pole saw when needed.
The Double Hook Saw blade is quite excellent and cuts 'like a dream' (and it's quite a plus that an extra blade was included).
But once a 4th extension pole is added then the saw becomes difficult to use as I can't exude enough force up such a length to allow the blade to forcefully cut, and the process becomes quite tiresome; and forget about adding a 5th extension pole as the whole contraption then becomes ungainly.
I'd purchased this pole saw with the sole intent to be able to cut branches with the poles' maximum length, but the combined poles are too wobbly for such action.
Is there another Pole Saw being sold by another brand that is so long and not ungainly--not that I've seen advertised.
So, my final comment is: if you need an Excellent Pole Saw where'd you'd only need to use 2-3 Extension Poles, then this is a good choice.
This saw is incredible. Very sharp and long reach. When fully extended, it takes muscle to use but once you get it verticle, it is a breeze to use. It does have considerable flex in it at full extension but it seems very durable and slices through the bigger stuff.
