These are so far working fine on a wooden gate we needed to set access for meter reading and other reasons.

Perfect for outdoor use in weather areas.

Installation is not easy because of the flat bar for actuating the lock. The instructions are sorely lacking in this regard. One end of the bar has two "dimples" which must go into the combination side of the lock. There are 2 different lengths provide. I found that neither one worked for a 3.5" install and the longer one had to be cut. I cut it too short and did not have a working one because I inserted it the wrong way around. I ordered a replacement unit rather than try to get the part from tech support. Good thing I did too because the original one would not stay open fully, but "rebounded" about .5 inch not allowing the gate to close fully. However once I replaced the combo side3 of the lock with the new unit, it worked. I also rebuild my gate with 2x6s laid with the 1.5" side to mount the lock so that was room for the mechanism without having to add a block.

This was a gift for my grandson as he lives in 120-year-old house and the fan lights in the living room and dining room have pull chains he would have to use to turn on the lights. The remotes were installed where a light switch would be making this a lot easier. My husband installed this for them and it was very easy to install.

Works great and gives a look of strong security. A bit tricky to install but have patience while installing.

Please read instructions. Certain parts do not need tightening very much. If you do it will affect the handle operation. Once you get that dialed in, the product operates seamlessly.

I had a similar lock on a gate before and after a few years it was not latching. This VEVOR lock operates smooth and the buttons are very easy to press and responsive. So far it is a great value!

I’ve installed similar devices before and this is a really good one! I like how this one has a solid bar that turns the locking mechanism. Some of the other ones have mechanisms that are more prone to being bent.

Instructions not good. But once you figure it out works fine and set the code you want pretty cool. Feels strong ot has hold so far no fade

This looked like a good solution for my gate. I just wanted a simple, mechanical lock to provide light security for a side gate. Yes, the instructions aren't the best, but I was able to get it installed. Installation was fairly easy, but it was a little annoying to get front and back lined up. Not a big deal. For $40, seems like a good item. Hopefully, it can withstand exterior usage. We'll see.
