For my use it works great. Making some small parts. It was well packaged and worked without too much fuss to set up. Definitely a good buy.

This is the third lathe I bought. The first two I bought were from Ebay and they never delivered and I had to wait to get my money back. I did get my money back , but it delayed my projects from getting done for 6 months. I ordered this lathe from Vevor and they promised delivery in 1 week and they lived up to there promise . Do not delay ordering from this company, prices are going up so order now. This lathe is the best product out there . I bought this for pool cue repair and it works just what you would expect a good lathe to work. The quality is great. Well made heavy casting for the bed, great precision .0001 tol. Renn

Mr.
The lathe arrived within a few days of purchase and was undamaged. The crate it was shipped in is a work of art and worth keeping. I have spent ~24 hours disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, deburring, honing, oiling, greasing, and reassembling the lathe's mechanical subsystems - tail stock, compound slide, cross slide, carriage, apron, ways, feed screw, rack gear, chuck, and stud gears. I also inspected the motor and electronics. I have posted >150 photos in the Facebook group Home Shop Machinist (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1104020856281121) of my progress - 10/12 (6), 10/23 (19), 10/26 (46), 10/28 (17), 10/31 (35), 11/04 (26), 11/07 (5). This is the second lathe I have owned. I am very pleased with it so far. I am looking for more accessories - MT3 ER32 collet chuck w/collets, MT3 dead center, faceplate and lathe dogs, follower/steady rest, MT2 live center, tooling. I am also planning a few upgrades - way covers and locks and/or stops for the slides. Once I get it mounted to a solid base I will align the tailstock, tool, and chuck. Once aligned I will begin to make parts with it. I look forward to many years of service from it. It is a fine addition to my small home shop.

Great mini-lathe for the money.
This lathe is great for beginners, but also remember what you're buying. This is a project dressed up as a lathe, it has many problems that you can actually fix with the lathe itself, you can turn it's own parts for it fairly easy. Out of the box you need to clean up everything, tighten gibs, oil ways and gears. as the lathe comes, everything is loose and sloppy, but you can tighten gibs and screws to make it pretty tight and rigid. I've turned brass, aluminum, copper, mild steel and stainless steel with this thing and it's pretty accurate out the box, my tail stock was perfectly dead center when it arrived which was great. I didn't replace the motor or any large modifications, the lathe itself can turn all this. But if you get a new motor and replace the spindle bearings with angular contact bearings, it can take MUCH larger Depth of Cuts and just be all around even better than original. These are on my todo list. You'll spend more in tooling than you will the lathe, trust me, but if you want something to tinker with and learn from, this is the lathe for you. At the end of your journey of fixing it up, removing slop, making parts for the lathe itself, you'll be left with a very useful tool that you won't regret. But it's a rough road at first, especially without tools. The tools I got are: Tail stock tools: • Woodworking MT2 Heavy Duty Live Tailstock Center $20.27 • Accusize Industrial Tools 5pc ANSI M42 (H.S.S. + 8% Cobalt) Center Drill Set, 0556-5500 $25.62 • WEN LA164K 5/8-Inch Keyed Drill Chuck with MT2 Arbor Taper $17.08 ______ Cutting tools: • Gluwoer 1/2\" SRACR/L1212H06 Lathe Turning Holders Lathe Turning & Profiling Tool Holder,12PCS Kit-2PCS Metal Lathe Tools Holder 10PCS RCMT0602 Round Carbide Milling Insert for Metal Steel $26.35 • Carbide Lathe Tools -Lathe Threading Tool Turning Holder - Boring Bars SNR0008K11 / SNR0010K11 / SNR0012M11 with 3 Indexable Carbide Inserts 11IR A60 for Lathe Turning Tool $26.99 (interal threading tools) • Carbide Lathe Too

Just dont
I've had more downtime with this heavy paper weight then I've had of use. First the belt, then the cover over the chuck, now the lead screw broke when I was assembling after advised to disassemble to make sure everything was tight as the y axis would reverse when trying to feed with the micro y axis. I should have returned it when I had the chance. Save up and buy a reputable brand. Seems like others have had a better experience than I have. Glad for them, I regret buying this for sure.

Vevor lathe regret
Crate was broken, loose nuts in the crate that I can't figure out where they go. Very noisy motor. It's cheaply made, poor quality materials, likely to last a short time.
