Funny thing I'm using it now when I'm cooling down to add my last of the mash wash I'm distilling. It's a great product easy to set nearly perfect. My only complaint is and it's really not a complaint more of a suggestion. It's the reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars. I would like a bit longer tubes from the kettles to each other as well as the water intake and return. I made the short tubing's work ok but was a slight difficult. My only add to make it a 5 out of 5 ⭐'s.

The up tube for the thumper is not included.

Works great, though whatever capacity, it will be too small once youve caught the spirits distilation bug.Go a little bigger than what you assume to be big enough.I did not, this is my ONLY COMPLAINT regarding this purchase.

Haven't distilled with it yet....have ten gallons of mash mashing right now, though. Week or so and I hope! The pot is a GREAT stock pot, however! Great stock pot! Already made a five gallon beer run that rocked and a three gallon soup for family and friends. All the parts are heavy duty, all seem to be top quality. Stainless and copper etc. No complaints at all.

Very nice unit , but the instructions could include more information for beginners. Same for the video on assembly.

It works great , low priced and a great learner unit. For the small time personal user it is a good investment.

Silicone seals work. We love cooking, but however carefully you try, something can go south. Bad beer happens. With this you can make your own distilled water. Vinegar ... We hate waste! Read all you can about the process. When you're able to give it a try, enjoy, even your failures can be better than many commercially produced beverages.

I recently received the package and am using the large kettle for running a batch of mead. I washed the inside of the kettle, even though it looks completely clean, there could be oils associated with the fabrication process. It looks like the other included materials are well made and should work fine.The only negative is the thumper pot gasket is not permanently attached to the thumper lid. It appears that the silicon rubber gasket has shrunk and will need stretching to obtain an adequate seal.Please note that the kettle has a lid that is held down by clamps. if the vent line should plug, pressures could build inside the container. There is no pressure safety valve. It is your responsibility to make sure that there is a means for the kettle to vent vapors at all times as the kettle is not a pressure vessel.

Would have been 5 stars but after just the second run the water pump quit working. And I lost a whole pot of product. Had to go buy a new pump at home depot for $20 more bucks. So if you get this product make sure you go somewhere and buy a extra pump just incase mid run your pump sent with it goes out.
