Well, there's nothing at all "insulated" about this doghouse - the walls and floor are as thin as the 1/4" cedar they're made of - but it's very well designed, not hard to build, and everything fits together well. There is one only poorly-designed component - a bottom strut for reinforcing the floor - which I decided to drill and screw differently than what they thought should work. but it wasn't that big a deal. I'm gonna give it "only" a 3/5 rating because of the lack of any thought to insulation (when that's what they advertised; I live in Montana, so that IS kind of a consideration!). Otherwise, a very good - and good-looking! - doghouse, for a reasonable price! If you're not worried about it being so-called, "insulated," I'd give it 4 1/2 stars! Well made, decent price!

This is just what I needed! A cute little dog house & it is very appealing. I get many compliments on it. Hickory loves it! He got comfortable in it right away & snuggled up. Other reviews said it was hard to put together...it was not. The pieces are not labeled, but you can easily figure it all out.
