It works well and runs good out of the box. Couldn't ask for much more for the money. I've said all I'm going to say, even though it says my review much be 100 characters or more.

I went to HD to rent a plate compactor for a week and I could buy this machine for the same money. A real no brainer. 110 yds of gravel later and I am a happy guy. Great machine. Buy it

I feel like most reviews complaining about this machine could have been avoided if people READ THE MANUAL. This compactor is great value for the money! Please read the manual, as it specifies which oil to use depending on your ambient temperature and how much oil to put. I had to use SAE 30, as I am in Arizona with ambiet air over 40°F and I am guessing most people should actually use that. Mine arrived covered in oil, so I made sure to add oil to the vibrator assembly and cleaned up the spillage. I had no problem starting it up with the engine oil filled to about 3/4 of the gauge stick and gas filled to the bottom of the gas filter. No leakage occured just a bit of smoking right at the beginning that lasted less than a minute, which is normal on engine startup. Overall, easy to use, sturdy, relatively compact machine that does the job if used correctly. P.S. it comes without a paver pad so I am using a small rug that my wife wanted to throw away :-)

Works very well . Was cheaper than harbor freight. Shipping was very quick as always. Compacted my driveway that was 120 x 40 road base gravel love it would highly recommend

Had an issue in shipping, but VEVOR customer service was able to quickly assist and get a replacement compactor in a short period of time. Needed a plate compactor for a house project. Instead of renting several times, this compactor was cheap enough to just buy outright. Has worked great so far. Easy to setup and has done it's job well. Still using it, but it's first project was compacting a few hundred cubic yards of back fill. Used in conjunction with a roller compactor, we were able to get really great compaction on 10" lifts in about 2 days. I've been using it to compact crusher run over the past few months and I can breeze over the area in less than an hour. Would recommend.

I ordered the plate compactor, it arrived in less than a week in a rural area. It’s easy to setup after reading the directions. Mine started on the first pull. It’s a very nice machine for the money, I’ve ran machines three times the price in the past that don’t do anything different than this one. I’m impressed !

This product came in a box that looked pieced together and been through Hell. I got the product out and could not even lift it due to the enormous amount of oil all over the machine. After wiping the handle off I was able to get it out of the box only to find out the belt was in half dangling from the machine and the machine had a couple scratches. I tried to call Vevor and finally got a repsonse via the texting and it has been like pulling teeth, one saying I understand another referring me to technical department when I just asked them why did it appear I was sent a second hand machine when I ordered a new product. I have asked repeatedly for my money back and a replacement box to send it back and all they have done is pushed me to one department or referred me to different areas of Vevor. I finally had to do a dispute on my CC to get my money back because their customer service is lacking and do not back their products. I hope this reaches someone who can actually change my mind about Vevor.

After having the initial trouble of will not start or run due to a oil soaked air filter--Vevor reluctantly refunded me enough money to buy one locally (after a few back and forth conversations) what happens is in shipping the compactors are being turned with the engine not upright-this is allowing the residual oil to run out the carb and soak the air filter element--this does not allow the engine to get any air !! Now as to the quality of the compactor I can say after several hours of use it is just as solid and works just as good as most american made ones I've used, maybe not quite as heavy as some but adding a sack of concrete on top will easily make it the heaviest one ! One bit of advice--run it for a couple of hours and then change the oil--you will see lots of fine metal particles in the oil looking at it in the sun--this is normal for breaking in one of these motors and you want to get it out of there before it does shorten the life of the engine, also at this time check all bolts for tightness, and I use the top handle a lot so I added a flat bar brace from the handle to a engine bolt to make it way stronger, this helps stop the vibration from breaking it also

Easy assembly. Fired right up on the 4th pull. Runs like a top. Great compactor for small jobs. Easy to transport and store.

Excellent !!! Does the job good … good price … I recommend it for anyone that it’s looking for a good bargain …
