I just got this so I can't say how long it will last, however, the components look sturdy. Ny nephew put it together in about a half hour. I was really pleased with the general construction. Seems heavy enough to withstand the wind. I received just one box and everything was inside, roller was in a separate box inside the first box. I am 70 year female and can put the cover on and off with ease, move the roller closer to pool and then move it back out of the way.

We've gone through 3 rollers, this one has better attachments for the solar cover. I love this one, so easy to roll up.

it's light weight but sturdy to use. we have covered the pool over the winter period and have had 60 miles per hour winds and the system was sturdy enough to hold, although some weights were needed. it is easy to roll on and off the cover easily.

For the price I was impressed by the quality of the parts. Everything appeared to be manufactured with tight tolerances, allowing the plastic, aluminum and steel parts to fit together well. Lots of thought went into clever design details. Stainless steel hardware seems to be high quality and hopefully will resist pool water corrosion. Assembly instructions were pretty good; a couple of places need some improvement eg a diagram shows dimensions X, Y, and z2, but the instructions don't explain the relevance of those parameters, and a table below has data that ambiguously refers to "pool width" which seems like it should correspond with dimension X, but actually means dimension Y, which is the width of the reel (a bit wider than the pool). But overall assembly was straightforward. The unit seems to operate smoothly. Hope it lasts!

Functions as expected

This works great and not difficult to assemble. Arrived promptly.. Just made placing my pool cover on and off much easier.

I eas pleasantly surprised by the quality of this reel for the price. It went together easily and is surprisingly stable for being so light. I bought sand bags for extra stability but have not used them yet as it works well on our 16’x32’ pool without them. I would definetly recommend this product for use on in-ground pools of our size or below.( may be also good for larger pools but the sand bags may be necessary…?)
