The technology just didn't work. There's a reason why every other Tumbler is not a direct drive. but it can be made to work. The barrel is much better than the others, but here's how you fix it. If you want yours to work like a beast you have to change the gearing. The only way to do that is to put smaller wheels on the direct motor, I found some kitchen knobs that would work then you got a drill them correctly, 6.9mm maybe 6.8mm and how you fasten is up to you but then the barrel won't clear the motor so you need to buy half-inch wide by 1/4 inch thick rubber strips to go around the barrel to raise the rubber rails on the barrel. But wait, there's more. Ha ha now you need to bend the metal frame with some pliers to crimp it and pull it away from the barrel. It'll make sense when you start. you will destroy the motor if you don't take the wheels off carefully I used my 80 pound vise and smashed it till they fell off, I would recommend cutting them off so you put any torque on the motor bearings. Trust me it will break, well there you have it. when it said and done you'll have a beast of a rock tumbler.

It is pretty quiet and works well. The last 2 tumblers I had were from Harbor Freight and the belt would always break and the lid was much harder to put off and on. I am very happy with this one.

I have nothing to compare it to as far as performance, but works fine and costs a lot less than others.

I love the tumbler works great, really quite, sounds like a white noise machine, only problem I had was it only sends enough to do one set of rocks. I'm having issues finding replacements.

The first time run it is a bit touchy on the weight but once it got broken in I have had no problems. The compounds that comes with it are good for one complete run and seemed to work well. The instructions are pretty slim. It would have been nice for it to give the amount of each compound to be used for each process.

Like the price and size.
